Poorna Jagannathan is an Indian-American actress and producer who was born on December 22, 1972. She is best recognised for her roles as Safar Khan in the HBO miniseries The Night Of and as Nalini Vishwakumar in Mindy Kaling’s Netflix adolescent comedy series Never Have I Ever.
She also co-wrote, co-produced, and acted in Yal Farber’s play Nirbhaya, which dealt with the taboo around sexual violence.
