Sikhs in the UK are exactly the antidote that the Khalistani poison needs

UK Sikh community Punjab PM Modi Khalistan

Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his convoy narrowly escaped a major security breach earlier this month in Punjab – the boisterous Khalistanis have started harbouring dreams of assassinating the PM and creating a balkanized Punjab with more zeal. While the Khalistanis of the country have the support of fence-sitters of the Sikh community, the true patriots, sitting thousands of miles away in the UK are building pressure on the entire community to get its act right.

Reportedly, the Sikh community in the United Kingdom has started to push back against the anti-India campaign, which is led by the Khalistanis. The latter has organised many protest marches in the UK in the past few months.

The Sikh community on its part has now shown a mirror to their Indian counterparts, easily swayed by the fanaticism of their radical few.

UK Sikh community passes a resolution thanking PM Modi

On Sunday (January 16), the UK Sikh community gathered together at the Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, located in Park Avenue, Southall, and passed a resolution thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government for doing so much for the Sikh community and helping to bridge the misunderstandings.

The community realized that no other Sikh leader or party leader had given the kind of respect that the Sikh Gurus deserved. As reported by TFI, on the occasion of the 365th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, PM Modi had announced that December 26 will be celebrated as ‘Veer Baal Diwas’ from 2022.

Sikh association slams Punjab CM for the security lapse

Similarly, the British Sikh association recently came down hard upon the Punjab government led by puppet Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi.

The British Sikh association stated, “Punjab government has made a major mistake by undermining the authority of PM Modi. He has done unparalleled work for Sikhs and was instrumental in the opening of the Kartarpur Sahib corridor and he also repealed Farmers law passed in Parliament. With great respect, PM Modi also celebrated the birth of both our Gurus,”

Holding PM Modi in the highest of regards, Lord Rami Ranger, Chairman of the association further stated, “It is a sad indictment of the security arrangements surrounding his visit that allowed a handful of an unruly mob to hamper the visit planned to exercise his democratic right to meet and greet the public. In fact, the nation was waiting to see what message the Prime Minister had for the people of Punjab whom he holds in the highest esteem.”

Khalistan movement is flourishing due to the abetment by the Indian Sikhs

The Khalistan movement is a rot that has been infesting India from within. The radical movement gets the confidence to conduct its business, only because the Sikh community observes a stoic silence on the violence and debauchery of its few rotten apples.

However, if UK Sikhs lead the way and continue to pile pressure, acting as the pressure group on the proud Sikh community – a breakthrough can be reached.

Trying to bring the dark ages back

For almost two decades, Punjab suffered the curse of strife and terrorism. The policies of the Congress party and the politics played by the Akalis soaked the fertile soil of the state with the blood of its own people.

Kidnappings, murder, and ransom became the everyday ritual of the state. Terrorists demanded a separate homeland for Sikhs- Khalistan, but the Armed Forces went all out to crush the secessionist forces and eventually succeeded. However, an entire generation of Punjab was lost in the wanton bloodshed.

And just when it looked like normalcy had returned, political parties looking to garner few, measly political votes, played the Khalistan card once again.

Make no mistake, the Punjab government and Congress in close cooperation with the Khalistanis were out and about to inflict some serious damage to the most important man of the country. Call it divine intervention or plain, stupid good luck but PM Modi survived a close call – a call which had all the inklings of an assassination attempt.
