Medha Jaishankar is a Los Angeles-based producer. She is the daughter of Indian Minister of External Affairs and former diplomat Subramanian Jaishankar.
Career of Medha Jaishankar
Medha Jaishankar started her career in the camera and electrical departments of various feature films in New York. She later worked for the BBC film review show ‘Talking Movies’ as a researcher, editor, camera operator, and reporter.
Medha returned to India and advised Indian media and entertainment companies on domestic and international projects (including Reliance Entertainment and the Mumbai Mantra, Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab).
She was also the director and executive producer of “The ABSOLUT blueFROG Diaries,” a music documentary series. Medha presently works for JetSynthesys, a digital media and entertainment company, as the Creative Director.

Family of Medha Jaishankar
Medha Jaishankar is the daughter of a diplomat and politician who is the current Minister of External Affairs of the Government of India since 31 May 2019. Her mother is of Japanese origin and her name is Kyoko Jaishankar. Medha has two brothers- Dhruva Jaishankar and Arjun Jaishankar.
Her father entered the Indian Foreign Service in 1977 and served in several roles in India and overseas during his 38-year diplomatic career, notably as High Commissioner to Singapore (2007–09) and Ambassador to the Czech Republic (2001–04), China (2009–2013), and the United States (2014–2015). The civilian nuclear accord between India and the United States was negotiated by Jaishankar. He is the Minister of External Affairs of the Government of India since 31 May 2019.

The Bells: Redefining horror films
A feature-length version of ‘The Bells,’ based on a famous YouTube short, has attracted producer Medha Jaishankar. Virat Pal, a filmmaker from New Delhi, directed the short film. For the first few months, the YouTube short has been rated the #1 short film on YouTube, and it has a sizable fan base. Medha Jaishankar discusses her diverse career in the media world, her ambitions with ‘The Bells,’ and future projects in an interview. She was so impressed with this film that she compared it to Christopher Nolan’ type movie. Aside from horror, she enjoys comedy and films that focus around music and musicians.
