‘Hindutva is causing inflation,’ Meet the new economist in town

Rahul Gandhi, Hindutva, Hindus

There exist several economists in India who keep giving ‘expert’ opinions on the state of the Indian economy. These ‘experts’, whose fields of interest and expertise change with every passing day, are always in search of an opportunity to target the government on the grounds of the economy. A new entrant in the list of expert economists will make you laugh your head off, and that is no one else but the man-child, Rahul Gandhi, who believes that Hindutva is causing inflation.

‘Hindutvawadis’ responsible for rising inflation: Rahul Gandhi

Bereft of any issues to contest against the ruling government, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has begun using Hindutva as a tool. Less than a week after the ‘Hindu vs Hindutvawadi’ comment, Rahul Gandhi said, “Hindutvawadis were directly responsible for the rising inflation, pain, and sadness in the country.”

Addressing people at a public rally in Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi asserted, “Today, if there is mehangai (inflation), pain, sadness in our country, it is the work of the Hindutvawadis. Today, the battle is between Hindus and Hindutvawadis. If Hindus believe in ‘satyagrah’, Hindutvawadis believe in ‘sattagrah’ (political greed).”

“I will tell you the meaning of Hindu – It’s someone who only follows the path of truth, one who never gives up against fear, and one who never converts his fear into violence, hate and anger… It’s best example is Mahatma Gandhi,” he added.

‘I am a Hindu, not Hindutvawadi’: Rahul Gandhi

Earlier this week, the aged-old party had held a rally in Jaipur to protest against inflation. Rahul, during the rally, stated that the ruling government is a “Hindutvawadi government” working against the people. Addressing the gathering, Rahul highlighted the two words — ‘Hindu’ and ‘Hindutvawadi’.

He stated, “In the country’s politics, there is a clash between two words… One word is ‘Hindu’, the other word is ‘Hindutvawadi’. These two words so not mean one thing, these are two different words and their meanings are totally different. I am a Hindu but not a Hindutvawadi.”
