How Yogi Adityanath took on Gangster Atiq Ahmed and destroyed him

Yogi Adityanath, Atiq Ahmed

In India, Uttar Pradesh was once the safest place for criminals – especially those who terrorise people with their power, influence, money and political connections. However, under the leadership of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, gangsters are being made to run for their life.  And they have seen their empires collapsing to the ground right before their eyes. In such a move, Yogi Adityanath also taught a lesson of the life to Gangster Atiq Ahmed.

Once a gangster is now a coward

Lodged in jails outside Uttar Pradesh, Atiq Ahmad who was once a popular gangster in the state is now a coward who is witnessing the gradual implosion of the empire set up by him. Well, all thanks to Yogi Government for taking strict actions against the criminals.

As earlier reported by TFI, action was taken against eighty-nine members of the Atiq gang and their movable and immovable properties worth Rs 320 crores were confiscated and demolished.

As the gangster is currently lodged in Ahmedabad jail, the Yogi government claimed that he living quite the life there. According to the report, the gangster has made a ‘setting’ with some jail authorities and is being accorded all luxuries that a criminal would want when in jail.

Well, the Yogi Adityanath government seems convinced that he must be brought back to the state.

Atiq Ahmed- a gangster turned politician

Atiq Ahmad too is a mafia man turned politician and has been a five-time state legislator in UP, apart from also being elected to the Lok Sabha once on a Samajwadi Party ticket. Atiq Ahmad has over 195 cases pending against him, including those relating to murder, abduction, illegal mining, extortion, intimidation and fraud.

After winning the Allahabad West seat twice (1991 and 1993) as an independent candidate, he contested on a Samajwadi Party (SP) ticket and won in 1996. Later, he became a parliamentarian from the Phulpur Lok Sabha constituency.

However, after the Allahabad high court pulled up the police for their failure to arrest him in connection with an attack on employees of a state university, Atiq was arrested in February 2017 from the Naini area in Prayagraj.

In June 2019, Ahmad was shifted to an Ahmedabad jail on the orders of the Supreme Court.

Well, Yogi Adityanath is unforgiving when it comes to teaching criminals a lesson. Moreover, he has pushed gangsters and criminals of Uttar Pradesh into a grave – from where they can never rise again. One such example is Atiq Ahmed.
