The left-liberals including politicians and celebrities are seen giving pep talks time and again. The pep talks mostly include the vicious propaganda to hurt Hindu sentiments. In such a move, from Amir Khan to Virat Kohli and several politicians also preach Hindus to not burn the firecrackers on Diwali. Now, in a major blow to these so-called politicians and celebrities, Supreme Court has admitted that it is the stubble that causes pollution and not the humble Diwali crackers.
Diwali crackers do not cause pollution
The Supreme Court, on Thursday, while hearing an application alleging violation of the order banning the use of certain chemicals by the manufacturers, observed, “The issue of firecrackers is only for the time being. But the main matter related to stubble burning is pending and we haven’t got time to deal with that. After vacations, we’ll hear that issue too.”
It is pertinent to note that on October 23, 2018, the apex court had denied imposing a complete ban on firecrackers but had permitted the sale of less polluting green crackers through licensed traders only. In the aftermath of violating the orders, the court allegedly issued notice to the manufacturers M/s Standard Fireworks, M/s Hindustan Fireworks, M/s Vinayaga Fireworks Industries, M/s Shree Mariamman Fireworks, M/s Shree Suryakala Fireworks and M/s Selva Vinayagar Fireworks, except respondent no.5, asking for the evidence to not punish them for contempt of court.
Thereafter, the Supreme Court on October 6 2021, observed that “The earlier orders pertaining to the regulation of firecrackers must be complied with by every State.”
However, in the recent hearing, Justice MR Shah remarked, “When the earlier order of banning firecrackers was passed, it was passed after giving reasons. All crackers were not banned. It was in larger public interest. It should not be projected that it was banned for a particular purpose. Last time we said that we aren’t coming in the way of enjoyment but we cannot come in the way of Fundamental Rights.”
Pollution Control Board’s clean chit to the firecrackers
Earlier as reported by TFI, the Central Pollution Control Board had given a clean chit to the firecrackers that are an essential part of the festivals of Diwali and Dussehra, refusing to hold them responsible for the deterioration of the air quality that has now become the norm of the national capital, New Delhi.
Central Pollution Control Board had submitted an affidavit in response to the query posed by the Supreme Court in concern to the effect of the firecracker ban in the NCR region.

The board stated, “The respiratory system related symptoms and signs were not much different during pre and post-Dussehra and Diwali. Although there was some increase in a cough and breathlessness, but this did not translate into any significant illness requiring immediate medical attention. Other system related complaints were also not much during pre and post Dussehra and Diwali.”
Now, when the apex court of the nation itself has clarified that Diwali crackers do not harm the environment, it can be assumed that the left-liberals would have learned their lesson. However, it is useless to expect an apology from the ‘famous’ celebrities but they need to learn not to cross their limits for insignificant reasons.
