Rich brat, addict, VVIP headed? All identity tags vanish as Aryan Khan becomes poor Muslim in media

Shah Rukh Khan, Muslim superstar, Aryan Khan, Bollywood, drugs

Soon after Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan got arrested in the Mumbai cruise drug case, the leftist media along with the opposition, began crying their noses off to play the Muslim victim card. In an attempt to defend Aryan Khan, they stooped to a newer low, when they argued that Aryan was denied bail on the grounds of him being the son of Shah Rukh, who was labeled as a Muslim Superstar instead of an artist.

Arfa Khanum Sherwani’s ridiculous claims

The Wire’s senior editor Arfa Khanum Sherwani, the flag-bearer of those running Muslim propaganda, jumped into the bandwagon of defending Aryan Khan and claimed that he had been arrested for his religion, and not because of consumption of drugs. She took to twitter to spew her foolishness and wrote, “’AryanKhan case has nothing to do with him consuming drugs but a clear targeting of Shah Rukh. Aryan’s basic right of securing bail is being denied in a free country. SRK is undoubtedly the biggest Muslim superstar of our times. ‘Process as punishment’ is a message to him to fall in line.”

A twitter user replied to Arfa and wrote, “Where were you so far? It took so long to play the Muslim card… The same old excuse for you. Now make a little more story that a poor Muslim child had gone fishing in the sea, but the Tyrannical Modi government caught the poor man for being a Muslim and put the NCB behind.’ On the other hand, Kumar Shyam wrote, ‘Well, Shah Rukh is a “Muslim superstar.” We used to feel so long that he is an artist and the artist is always free from all restrictions. There may be a debate on what’s happening to him. Just like it happened in relation to Rhea.”

Well, she did not stop here. After the netizens began slamming the journalist for discriminating on the basis of religion, she shamelessly went on to make an excuse for the same and tweeted, “Modi fanboys -who cheered him when he called himself a ‘Hindu Nationalist’ have a problem with a ‘Muslim Superstar’. Muslim is one of the multiple identities SRK has- Indian,Muslim,Superstar,Actor. Does Muslim make him any less of an Indian? Why can’t you love a Muslim superstar?”

However, these claims by Arfa do not come as a surprise as she is one of those journalists who have propagated Islamic ideology in journalism, and have always perceived Shah Rukh Khan as a Muslim first and an actor later.

Arfa and her practices are beyond logic

Considering various instances, it can be said that Arfa Khanum is only concerned about her ideological demands. What Arfa Khanum Sherwani has been doing is indulging in sheer rumouring and bigotry, under the garb of journalism. For instance, at a time, when every individual was aware of the threat posed by the Coronavirus and it was in the best interest of the protesters to clear the Shaheen Bagh protest site, Arfa reiterated that the government should have allowed the protests to continue.

In another incident, she had slammed the government’s bill on Triple Talaq to peddle the “darra hua musalmaan” narrative. She tweeted, “Let there be no doubt #TripleTalaqBill is an extension of Modi govt’s anti-Muslim politics. It is not only against Muslim men but against Muslim women as well. It satisfies only one agenda of this govt- Demonise Muslim men,Patronise Muslims women. And appease the Hindu vote bank.”

Mehbooba Mufti slammed government to defend Aryan Khan

Interestingly, PDP (Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party) chief Mehbooba Mufti somehow used this case as an opportunity to slam the government. On Monday, she claimed that Aryan Khan was being targeted by law enforcement agencies because of his surname.

Attacking the BJP-led central government, she asserted, “Instead of taking action against Union Minister of State Ajay Misra’s son, Ashish, who is accused of mowing down farmers in UP’s Lakhimpur Kheri, central agencies are after Aryan Khan.”

She tweeted, “Instead of making an example out of a Union Minister’s son accused of killing four farmers, central agencies are after a 23 year old simply because his surname happens to be Khan. Travesty of justice that Muslims are targeted to satiate the sadistic wishes of BJPs core vote bank.”

Salman Nizami, a Congress leader, also tweeted to flash the Muslim card when he said “My name is Khan, I am not a Druggist.”

Aryan Khan arrested in Mumbai cruise drug case

Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested on October 2 after Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) conducted a drug bust on the Cordelia cruise ship. Along with Aryan, two accomplices, Arbaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha were also booked for the consumption, sale, and purchase of drugs under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.

Bollywood, the global face of the Indian film Industry is mired by the problems of illegal drugs and sex trafficking. In the past, many stories of drug abuse of prominent stars such as Parveen Babi, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Kangana Ranaut, and Mamata Kulkarni have also circulated in the media.

Despite the fact that it is not only Aryan Khan but there are eight others who have been booked in Mumbai cruise drug case, the left media and opposition are busy running their propaganda to flash the Muslim card. However, what can be seen as a good development is that the central government, despite all the allegations, is keen on eradicating the problem and is going after those involved in drugs, irrespective of their religion, status and stardom.
