Ever since the tragic death of Sushant Singh Rajput in June last year, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been leaving no stone unturned to weed out all drugs and narcotics consumers, and their suppliers from Mumbai’s film industry. After Aryan Khan’s arrest in the alleged Mumbai cruise drug case, the NCB has now summoned Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey in connection with the same.
Ananya Pandey’s real struggle begins
Reportedly, on Thursday, the NCB raided Ananya’s house in Mumbai after which her laptop and Mobile phone were seized by the agency. The actress was also summoned by the agency and was questioned for around two hours. However, the NCB seems all charged up to bring Ananya to justice as Ananya will have to appear before the agency for a second consecutive day on Friday. It is pertinent to note that the actress’ name reportedly popped up in WhatsApp chats of one of the accused in the Mumbai cruise ship drugs case.
An NCB officer spoke about the same and said, “The investigation is going on. When NCB officials visit a person or location for questioning that does not mean the person is a culprit or being investigated. There are several procedures being followed.”
Ananya Pandey’s version of struggle
Ananya Pandey, daughter of Chunkey Pandey, made her Bollywood debut in 2019 under the auspices of Karan Johar, the flag bearer of nepotism. Sharing her version of struggle, for which she was mercilessly trolled, Ananya had last year said, “I have always wanted to be an actor. Just because my dad has been an actor, I will never say no to an opportunity to act. My dad has never been in a Dharma film, he never went on Koffee With Karan. So it’s not as easy as people say. Everyone has their own journey and their own struggle.”
Mocking Ananya Pandey for her distorted view on struggle, Gully Boy fame, actor Siddhant Chaturvedi had remarked, “the difference is ‘jahaan humare sapne poore hote hain, wahi inka struggle shuru hota hai (their struggle begins where our dreams are fulfilled).”
Ananya’s close bond with Aryan
Ananya Panday and SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan are known to be childhood friends. While digging deep into their Instagram profiles, it can be observed that the star kids share a close bond. Following the old relations between both the families, Ananya and Aryan Khan also share close relations. Ananya, in an old interview, when asked about Suhana and Aryan, had asserted that both Khan kids are extremely talented and look well poised to achieve big things in life.
Aryan detained in Mumbai cruise drug case
Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested on October 2 after Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) conducted a drug bust on the Cordelia cruise ship. Along with Aryan, two accomplices, Arbaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha were also booked for the consumption, sale, and purchase of drugs under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.

In the recent development, Aryan Khan’s bail was denied by a special court in Mumbai on Wednesday. Special judge VV Patil observed that “WhatsApp chats prima facie revealed that Khan was dealing in illicit drug activities or narcotic substances on a regular basis therefore, it cannot be said that accused No. 1 (Khan) is not likely to commit a similar offence while on bail.”
Ever since Aryan Khan’s drug case came into the limelight, anyone associated with SRK’s son is now being reeled in by the NCB.
