As you sow, so shall you reap. The phrase goes well with Pakistan these days. Pakistan, a country that is unpopular for state-sponsored terrorism, has now landed in trouble as Afghanistan’s ISIS Khorasan (ISIS-K) also known as Daesh has stepped in to launch a war against it.
“Our first target is to destroy Pakistan” – ISIS-K
Reportedly, ISIS-K has asserted that it aims to implement Sharia law all over the world and whoever tries to oppose and act against Islam and Quran should be ready to face the repercussions.
According to reports, Nazifullah, a member of ISIS-K has asserted, “Our first target is to destroy Pakistan because the main reason for everything in Afghanistan is Pakistan. When the Taliban were here (even as the previous government still reigned), they were saying that we control 80 per cent of the country, but they were not implementing Islamic rulings. That’s why we stood up in we started (ISIS-K) over here in this area.”
In addition to that, he stated, “We want to implement Shariah Law. We want to implement the way our Prophet was living, the way he was clothed, the dressing hijab was there. Currently, we don’t have much to fight. But if you give me anything, I am going to fight Pakistan now.”
Rift between ISIS-K and Taliban
Ever since the Taliban has captured Afghanistan, ISIS-K has claimed dozens of lives through suicide attacks and targeted bombings across multiple provinces of Afghanistan to target the Taliban.
As per the reports, it is considered that the ISIS-K terrorists have defected from the Taliban branches in Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan. They claim that they were tired of the lack of truthfulness of the Taliban and thus joined ISIS-K. The members of ISIS-K aim to implement an even more extreme interpretation of Islam with international goals of ‘caliphate’ control.
It is pertinent to note that while the number of Talibani terrorists is estimated to be nearly around seventy thousand, ISIS terrorists are only around the two thousand mark.

To establish the point that ISIS-K has the ability to wreak havoc on the state of Afghanistan despite being outnumbered by the Taliban, the former has started the targeted attacks not only on the Taliban but also on the civilians in Afghanistan.
Recognising the role of Pakistan in Afghanistan to back the Taliban, ISIS-k has decided to go after the terror hub of the world, that is, undoubtedly Pakistan. Thus, Pakistan who has been providing shelter to several terrorist groups is left with no choice but to face the repercussions for its own actions.
