Doctor Sudhir Bhandari’s take on COVID-19 Spread in Rajasthan and the role of Central government in implementation of Vaccine

In an interview with a news channel Dr. Sudhir Bhandari said that during the onset of the Wuhan virus pandemic in March 2020 in Rajasthan the mortality rate was 2-3% and by October the rate declined to 1.4- 1.5% and it was all possible die to improvement in COVID-19 management program, development of infrastructure and treating patients intensely.

The spread of virus particularly in Rajasthan was largely due to non-cooperation by people in the state. He further added that patients with severe lung infection also have been treated successfully due to the availability of resources for cure and that the reason for drastic rise in cases in the state was due to negligence by people who weren’t masked at all or didn’t mask their nose properly.

Dr. Sudhir Bhandari also praised the Central government and said that “In treating COVID-19 India is a pioneering country in Plasma therapy and COVID management treatment modalities. Vaccine development is an example of best practice in the country and that vaccines are well tested. It is a moment of pride that our country has developed a vaccine to fight the pandemic.”

He also advised the people not to rely on RTPC a lot because more involvement with RTPC can invite other problems which can harm the body. Also, early diagnosis can be very helpful and cure the patient as soon as possible and the most important thing to understand and implement even currently is wearing a mask.
