The major victory that PM Modi registered in his US tour that media didn’t tell you about

Modi US

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tour to the United States could easily have been a disaster, but PM Modi averted it. Now that the dust around PM Modi’s US trip has settled, the sounds of dhols and nagadas have subsided, let me bring to you the biggest success of PM Modi’s US tour. It is not PM Modi’s calls to big companies and investors to ‘Make in India’, and neither is it the Quad summit. Prime Minister Modi’s success during the recent US visit is marked by the fact that Joe Biden – who has a proven track record of hounding pro-Trump and pro-Russia world leaders, in fact, widened his arms in anticipation of receiving a hug from the Indian prime minister – a luxury he was not accorded.

Had it been any other Indian prime minister, this US tour would have been a nightmare. However, PM Modi’s credibility, charisma and global standing prevented the same from happening.

Let us, first of all, understand who Joe Biden is and the invisible hands that guide him. Biden is an anti-Russia Democrat mascot, who has taken upon himself the task of furthering a toxic liberal agenda not just across his own country, but the world at large. Democrats and the American Deep State – which controls Joe Biden, were given a telling blow by Donald Trump who threatened to burn their empire to the ground. Donald Trump was dumped unceremoniously as a direct consequence.

When Biden came to power, he began cracking down on Trump’s friends almost immediately. Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was the first casualty, as Biden took no time to make efforts towards the revival of the Iran nuclear deal, apart from getting cosy with the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah by means of advancing it some heavy cash in the form of aid. During the time of the Israeli snap elections, Biden almost campaigned against Netanyahu.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, popularly known as MBS, was the next on Biden’s list. Saudi Arabia is the king of the Muslim world and Trump’s Abraham Accords that brought Jews and Muslims together had Riyadh’s silent approval. Now, Saudi Arabia is currently run by Mohammad Bin Salman, although he has not officially taken over as the King. Nevertheless, Trump and MBS together pushed the Abraham Accords, which brought Israel and the Arab world together.

The Abraham Accords continue to be a major geopolitical win for Trump, that MBS facilitated. Hence, Joe Biden took no time in attacking the Saudi Crown Prince over the controversial murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and the purported involvement of Saudi Arabia in the 9/11 attacks.

Mohammad Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the crown prince of the UAE was the next recipient of Biden’s ire. The Biden administration almost cancelled the $23 billion sale of F-35 jets to the UAE, which would have stripped the country of a massive upcoming geopolitical edge in the region.

Now, let us come back to PM Modi. Prime Minister Modi was not just a friend of former President Donald Trump, but he also gave him a political dais and audience with Indians twice – once in the United States itself, and next, in India. Needless to say, this must have caused a huge upswing in the number of Indian American votes for Donald Trump. This was not lost on Biden.

Additionally, India is the best friend of Russia and Democrats’ hatred for Vladimir Putin is hardly unknown. When Biden told Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to cancel the S400 deal with Russia, Ankara immediately complied. Washington was of the belief that if it could force Turkey to stop the procurement of the S400 air defense systems, it could easily convince India to do the same. So, the same message was sent to India. India immediately refused.

Now, given the backdrop, when PM Modi went to the US, Biden saw a friend of Russia and an ally of Donald Trump standing in front of him. He could have given visible hints about his angst with PM Modi but he chose not to. Instead, it was PM Modi who walked in with all his splendour, owning all the places he went to,

This proves how PM Modi is the biggest world leader at this point in time. Under him, India has emerged as an economic powerhouse and a military superpower that does not waste a second in snapping Chinese necks.

Not just Russia but Australia, Japan and lately Taiwan are all good friends with India – countries that are crucial for the containment of China. Without a doubt, India has emerged as a power whose lead is to be followed by countries around the world in the Indo-Pacific.

PM Modi now truly represents a new India whose time to shine and set the narrative has come. And now, anything that is even remotely disrespectful of PM Modi would be taken as India’s insult. So, unlike his treatment of other world leaders, Joe Biden knew this time around that he was meeting a stalwart who represents the collective will of 1.3 billion people. Insulting, condemning or taking digs at him would simply be the end of Joe Biden.

So, while Biden may hate PM Modi on a personal level, on a professional level, he will always be the one trying to hug Prime Minister Modi. And that is PM Modi’s biggest victory.
