While Muslims are fleeing a country with strict Sharia Law – Indian Muslims still don’t get it

Muslims, Afghanistan, Talban

Taliban’s charge for gaining control over Afghanistan is complete with the capital city of Kabul and its security forces falling, rather tamely in front of the terrorist outfit. With the Taliban in charge, the medieval era Sharia law and its obnoxious rule book are set to be implemented in the country. Meaning that a set of archaic rules and regulations that most of the Islamists across the world wage countless battles for, will be enforced.

However, after seeing the horrific scenes unfold at the Hamid Karzai International Airport yesterday, the Indian Islamists harbouring dreams of a Sharia state should think long and hard if this is the country they want? A state where men, fearing for their lives, abandon their families, latch onto aeroplanes and hope that they can subvert death and reach a non-sharia, peaceful state.

As reported by TFI, even before assuming charge of the country, the Taliban had started to issue Fatwas, the rulings of supposed Islamic scholars under Sharia law. The latest one required members of Islamic clergy to compile a list of girls above 15 and widows under 45 so that they can be married to Taliban terrorists. Essentially, the Taliban wants sex slaves.

“All imams and mullahs in captured areas should provide the Taliban with a list of girls above 15 and widows under 45 to be married to Taliban fighters,” said the letter, issued in the name of the Taliban’s cultural commission.

New unexpected and incongruent orders are being forced upon Afghanistanis, with smoking and beard-shaving banned in areas – and women stopped from going out alone. The Taliban warned that anyone caught defying rules will be “seriously dealt with”.

Like the Taliban of the yore where Women were mandated to don a burqa at all times, as showing the face would corrupt the noble, Islamic men – the Taliban of the present is expected to continue its regressive policy. The Taliban workers have started whitewashing the walls with the female photos on them.

Taliban officials have already prohibited watching television and impose restrictions on smartphones by banning them outright in some cases. Thereby limiting the residents’ access to information and their ability to communicate, study, or work using the internet.

And while the liberal media continues to humanize the Taliban by claiming that this time the terrorist outfit will be moderate in its approach, the commoners of Afghanistan certainly understand the reality. Hence, the images and videos of thousands of them trying to flee the country are all around on the internet.

Anyone defying the Sharia-Taliban law in Afghanistan will be dealt with, as per the Sharia Law. The Sharia law divides offences into two general categories: “hadd” offences, which are serious crimes with set penalties, and “tazir” crimes, where the punishment is left to the discretion of the judge. Hadd offences include theft, which can be punishable by amputating the offender’s arms, and adultery, which can carry the penalty of death by stoning.

Incidents of women being pelted with stones to death have been frequent, and one doesn’t expect the Taliban to deviate from its punishment tactics. Thus another reason for Afghan Muslims to abandon their posts.

One can see the commoners shuddering with the thought of a bleak future as the Taliban starts to control every aspect of life. Haji RoziBaig, an Afghan, whilst talking to Financial Times, remarked what exactly it feels to live in constant dread and dear.

“Under government control, we were happy and at least enjoyed some freedom. Since the Taliban took over, we feel depressed. At home, we can’t speak loudly, can’t listen to music and can’t send women to the Friday market.” said Haji Rozi Baig.

The Indian Muslims who have been brainwashed to believe that Sharia state is the perfect utopian world should remove their rose-tinted glasses and see the red flags in Afghanistan. The liberties that they take for granted will be snatched away in a heartbeat in a Sharia state and, if they still want such a rule of law, they should watch the video clips of the Kabul airport on loop, till the time some sanity is restored.
