How the liberal intelligentsia spun Moplah anti-Hindu massacre into a peasant rebellion and freedom struggle

As long as we allow people with the colonial mindset to control and manipulate India’s history, culture, and education system, the procedure of decolonization will remain incomplete. Decades of Congress rule led to the white-washing of the history of the dreadful Moplah anti-Hindu massacre and instead, it was portrayed as an integral part of the Indian national movement for independence.

CBSE-NCERT history school textbooks are the major source of whitewashing the masses of the nation, they have massive content glorifying Mughal rulers, who invaded India, while sparsely mentioning the role of nationalist leaders like Lala Lajpat Rai, Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh and many more, which has resulted in the distortion of ancient Indian history.

Likewise, there has been no proper analysis or details on what transpired during the anti-Hindu massacre in Kerala. For years it has been glorified as an integral part of the Indian National movement; it took 100 years for it to be declared as a genocide. Wikipedia which has a history of providing biased information often peddling anti-Hindu propaganda has mentioned the Moplah riots as a ‘peasant movement’ against the colonial government. It shamefully refers to the massacre as ‘The popular uprising against the prevailing feudal system controlled by elite Hindus’.

Distorians whitewashing the reality and fooling the masses via distorted history is very common when it comes to Indian History, and it is necessary to understand the role of the governments in the region. The Indian National Congress, a political party founded by a European in 1885, and over the period successfully created a misleading perception among the masses by manipulating school history books by glorifying themselves and intensifying their roles in achieving freedom for the nation. They portrayed tyrants like Babur, Aurangzeb, Allaudin Khilji and Tipu Sultan as heroes. These kings were responsible for mass genocide and atrocities on the Hindu subjects, but they have been characterised as great rulers and further distorted to portray them as benevolent despots.

Indian history needs to be revisited and read in a holistic nature, and for that, we need to go back to the Vedic times. Instead of reading accounts from the genesis of 200 years of British rule, we should look at invasions dating back to 1,200 years. We need to glorify our national heroes and give proportionate references to all periods of Indian history.

Most history books tend to skip the fact that the seeds of the Moplah riots were sown months earlier with the start of the Khilafat movement, which initially started as a revolt against the British to re-instate the Khalifa of the Ottoman Empire post World War 1, but ended up being an excuse to wipe out the Hindu population of northern Kerala. The number of Hindu deaths as a result of the genocide in Moplah amounted to around 10,000, many were forced to get converted and it is also estimated that over 100,000 Hindus were forced to leave Kerala in the wake of the massacre.

To this day, the so-called liberal intelligentsia, the unholy nexus of communists and Islamists have kept the carnage under the wraps with little to no mentions in the cultural readings of the state.

Historically it was against the Hindus, but Marxist historians would make you believe that the Moplah Massacre was a peasant rebellion or a crusade against the British Raj, by glorifying their rebellions as freedom fighters. The leading party would blindly carry on this legacy by overshadowing history to continue enjoying the Islamic vote bank in the country. The unprovoked slaughter of Hindu genocide in which the resistance is regarded as freedom fighters or martyrs, is a big insult to the history of India, while the pseudo-liberal and pseudo-secular media and intellectuals are busy working at the payroll of the INC. It took 100 years for restoring the facts in history with the remarkable decision made by the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) where 387 ‘Moplah martyrs’ are to be removed from the Dictionary of Martyrs of India’s Freedom Struggle.
