Biden and his supporters are protecting Taliban’s image and attacking Afghan civilian leadership. But why?

Joe Biden, Taliban. Zabinullah, BBC

As the Taliban increases its atrocities inflicted on poor Afghani civilians, the Biden administration and the liberal media has decided to defend the Taliban. The ‘cute’ dancing, singing and gym videos are tried and tested techniques by liberals to garner soft power. It works like this – You kill someone and then hire a liberal Guru, he/she’ll tell you to make a video doing some humane work. The video will be made viral, and the narrative that you are a murderer will disappear. They gave Emmy Award to Andrew Cuomo, to wash away his crimes of killing thousands of elders in New York.

On similar lines, Taliban 2.O is being promoted by the Biden administration and the media is supporting him. Propaganda about Taliban 2.O is that it has changed, now it believes in human rights and wouldn’t suppress women as it did previously. With its cute videos, the follies of the Taliban like Stoning women to death, packing women inside Burqa, brutal killings are being covered. The supports are being collected from every corner of the liberal faction of the media.

Commenting on Taliban’s spokesperson Zabinullah, press conference held with the Guns in hand, a senior BBC journalist John Simpson wrote on Twitter-‘’ I’ve known the Taliban spokesman at today’s press conference in Kabul for many years. Zabihullah Mujahid is a relatively moderate, pleasant man. But he’s seeking to calm the world’s fears, & he only speaks for one part of the Taliban movement.” Sharif Hassan, who previously worked for Washington Post and is now is a reporter at New York Times, even called Zabiullah “better” than Ashraf Ghani’s team.

UK defence chief, General Sir Nick Carter went a step further in his enthusiasm and called the Taliban ‘’a group of country boys, with a code of honour’’. He also refused to use the word ‘’ enemy’’ for the Taliban. He further advocated for giving the Taliban ‘space’.

All this love and support for the Taliban comes after Biden in his speech blamed the Afghan civilian government for the Taliban’s uprise. Biden wanted the Afghan civilian government to do a Political settlement with the Taliban, which Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah flatly refused. “Afghanistan political leaders gave up and fled the country; the Afghan military collapsed, sometimes without trying to fight,” Biden said. He even accused them of being corrupt and running away with the money.

Biden’s lectures were directed towards bringing the reputation of the Afghani civilian government down in an attempt to normalise and legitimise the Sharia savages Taliban. He did not even mention how the Taliban did not follow a single step decided for reconciliation in the 2020 Doha agreement brought in by the Trump administration. Neither did he utter a word of condemnation for the Taliban not letting Americans evacuate From Kabul.

But what exactly lies behind the Biden administration going excited for the Taliban? One reason could be Biden does not want to accept his administration’s mistake. Biden administration liberal policy let the Taliban loose in its offence against American forces in Afghanistan, which led to the capture of Kabul. So, now he is faulting the Afghan administration for his failure.

Biden’s denial of blunders and offensive statements against the Ghani government also highlights how the US administration wants to wash away their hands. They have created a huge humanitarian crisis. Recently liberalised emigration from countries like Mexico, El Salvadore has flooded the cities of the USA and they are facing a resource crunch. Accepting their faults will mean taking in millions of Afghan refugees which in turn will lead to economic burden and political criticism. Federal Reserve can print more money, but political repercussions are not feasible for Biden.

The industrial-military complex of the American deep state establishment is a massive force inside the United States. This industry may want to keep the war going. The peace will ensure that the arms lobby will not get anything to sell, so this temporary withdrawal of US troops will create more havoc in the Taliban. The chaos in turn will create the demands for more civil wars in Afghanistan, requiring more arms and troops. As the demand for gun control law in the US grows, the arms lobby wants to export weapons outside the US borders to make more profit.

As Julian Assange said about the Afghan war in 2011 -“The goal is to use Afghanistan to wash money out of the tax bases of the US and Europe through Afghanistan and back into the hands of a transnational security elite. The goal is an endless war, not a successful war”. Normalising 7th-century barbaric militias by the Biden administration and its supportive liberal media is just another step in this direction.
