Days after political parties and organizations like the Samajwadi Party and AIMPLB touched a new low by defending Talibani terrorists, now Akali Dal is batting for the Taliban.

On Wednesday (August 18), Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa took to Twitter to share a video clip that showed some Taliban members interacting with people of the Sikh community in a Gurdwara. Sirsa showed full faith in the Taliban to claim that they have assured the safety of the Hindus and Sikhs who have taken refuge in the Gurdwara. He tweeted, “I am in constant touch with the President Gurdwara Committee, Kabul S. Gurnam Singh &Sangat taking refuge in GurdwaraKarteParwan Sahib in Kabul. Even today, Taliban leaders came to Gurdwara Sahib and met the Hindus and Sikhs and assured them of their safety.”

However, the Taliban was the only one who removed the ‘Nishan Sahib’ (Sikh religious flag) from the roof of a Gurdwara in Afghanistan’s eastern Paktia province.

Earlier this month, the Taliban had captured Afghanistan and took over the province to force Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to flee the country. Fearing the beginning of the black era with the imposition of Sharia law, several Afghan citizens lost their lives while desperately trying to leave the country. Still, multiple political parties along with a few left-liberals including the media have been defending Talibani terrorists.

As reported by TFI, A Samajwadi Party (SP) leader, Shafique Rahman Barq, had also defended the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, by comparing the invasion of Afghanistan with India’s freedom struggle. Moreover, Maulana Sajjad Nomani, a member of the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), had also praised the Taliban, for the fall of Afghanistan. Maulana congratulated the Talibani terrorists and said, “this Hindi Muslim salutes you”.

In addition to that, the Taliban apologists here in India had also got down to promote the moderate version of the Taliban. Known leftist and a Congress stooge Sreenivasan Jain, ran a lengthy bulletin, enumerating the points that made the terror outfit– ‘Good Taliban’ on NDTV – India’s finest left-Islamic terror propaganda channel.

Another leftist, The Wire’s journalist Arfa Khanum Sherwani also took to Twitter to share an interview with Ghazala Wahab where they shamelessly gelled over the semantics of “insurgents” and terrorists and ultimately concluded that the Talibani should be called insurgents.

It comes as a surprising fact that these leftists, for their propaganda, did not even take a week to forget that how Danish Siddiqui, the Indian journalist was killed by Talibani terrorists and now, they are going down to defend them.
