After hounding Karolina Goswami, Dhruv Rathee fanboys target YouTuber Elvish Yadav for exposing him

Rathee, Yadav,

YouTube war storms twitter as netizens pick sides between popular YouTubers Dhruv Rathee and Elvish Yadav owing to their ideologies and personal differences. Rathee, after previously unleashing his pack of online troll army on YouTuber Karolina Goswami, now targeted Elvish Yadav.

The controversy began when Yadav in his video, factually countered the allegations made by Rathee on his YouTube channel. He challenged Dhruv for his critical approach towards the Indian government, capturing clips of his videos and sharing his comments, he accused Rathee of manipulating his viewers.

Elvish Yadav’s takedown of Rathee received appraisal among the masses and was even trending on Twitter. Yadav furthermore challenged Rathee to make a counter video on a factual basis if possible. Yadav’s video was widely viewed, shared, supported, and appreciated by social media users. But YouTube seems bias and hypocritical in its own way as it has gone ahead and blocked only Elvish Yadav’s channel from its platform.

However, this is not the first time Dhruv got himself into controversy for his Anti-India views; recently Rathee had released a video on the World Happiness Report, 2021, where he had gone on to propagate misinformation to his viewers. Based on the flawed understanding, Rathee claimed that Pakistan was much happier than India, based on the World Happiness Report 2021.

YouTuber Karolina Goswami systematically countered him with facts and the correct methodology. However, she was attacked by Rathee’s brainwashed social media troll army throwing nasty, vitriol laden comments on her and her family.

Elvish Yadav revealed that his video on Rathee has been demonetised by YouTube and his channel was mass reported by Dhruv Rathee’s online troll army. Yadav tweeted, “My Video on Dhruv Rathee got demonetised then they mass reported my channel and boom 1 strike and 7 days ban. Yes this is how freedom of speech works here. #elvishwillrise”. Both Dhruv Rathee and Elvish Yadav have been trending on Twitter as #elvishwillrise emerged as the second top trend in India on Thursday.

Eventually, Yadav’s fan took to twitter and slammed Rathee and his fans who were allegedly responsible for banning Yadav’s account, responding to this social media attack Dhruv replied saying, “Kal ko constipation hoga tab bhi Dhruv Rathee ko blame karna. If I wanted to take away your video, I would copyright strike it. Trust me; I really want your videos to stay on YouTube so your stupidity is visible to everyone. Learn to take responsibility for your own content.”

It is very evident that nationalist channels and videos are often taken down, but no such scrutiny takes place on left-leaning content. Anti-India and anti-government content is widely promoted on the Indian side of the social media platform. This is yet another social media controversy where the essence of freedom of expression is mocked upon. Earlier twitter provoked national sentiment by publishing a distorted map of India on its website and outright rejection towards following Indian Government’s new IT rules and now even YouTube seems to be walking in the lines of Twitter by banning Yadav’s account and supporting anti-Indian propagandist Dhruv Rathee who is merely a serial liar peddling online troll manipulating millions.
