So-called Ram Mandir scam: Dainik Bhaskar exposes the nefarious game of Samajwadi Party

Samajwadi Party, Mandir,

The nefarious game of the Samajwadi Party and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to level serious allegations of corruption against the Ram Bhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust backfired spectacularly. Now, new elements to the story are emerging every day which suggest that SP was willing to play an extraordinarily dirty game to earn some measly political points.

According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, Tej Narayan Pandey, the SP leader who conducted the press conferences and hurled accusations that the price of the property went from 2 crores to 18.5 crores in a matter of minutes is a good friend of Sultan Ansari. Moreover, Ansari has been a member of the Samajwadi Party in the past and has even fought the councillor elections under SP’s banner. When asked if Pandey had made the claims owing to his close relations with Ansari or after insistence from Ansari, the SP leader refuted the allegations.

The 1.208 hectares of land located near Sadar tehsil of Ayodhya district has been additionally acquired by the Mandir Trust after receiving 70 acres of land from the centre. The Trust wanted to expand the Temple compounds and was steadily and transparently acquiring other properties nearby.

The land (180 Biswa) in question was owned by one Firoz Khan before 2010, which he sold to Bablu Pathak in the same year. On March 4, 2011, Bablu Pathak signed an agreement of 100 Biswa land with Irfan Khan aka Nanhe Miyan for one crore rupees. However, Miyan paid only 10 lakh rupees in advance for the property to Bablu. The reader should note that the property is still not in name of Nanahe Miyan as the full price hasn’t been paid.

The agreement for the 100 Biswa land elapsed automatically after 3 years on March 4, 2014. Later in 2015, Bablu Pathak made the agreement in name of Sultan Ansari and that’s how till 2021, every three years, the agreement was renewed and the land remained in name of Sultan Ansari or any other family member. It is important to mention that Nanhe Miyan is the father of Sultan Ansari and both Ansari and Bablu Pathak are thick as thieves.

The last agreement was signed in 2019 where the rate of the property was understood to be 2.16 crores and it was decided with the mutual consent of Bablu and Ansari.

After the SC’s verdict, the Mandir Trust started looking for the land and corresponded with both Bablu and Ansari for the land. Three months of discussion later, Ansari first paid the 1.90 crores for the 100 biswa land and got the property registered under his name. Meanwhile, Bablu sold the 80 Biswa land, left with him, straight to the mandir trust for Rs 8.5 crores.

After Ansari got the property registered to his name, he sold the 100 Biswa land at the price of Rs. 18.5 crore to the Trust as the market price of the property had shot up to Rs 20 crore by then, owing to the court’s decision to allow the construction of Ram Mandir. Buyers and realtors from across the country had descended upon Ayodhya to grab the meaty real estate properties, thereby driving up the prices.

As reported by TFI yesterday, the lies of AAP leader Sanjay Singh and SP leader Tej Narayan Pandey were debunked as they used the old price of the property, agreed years before the deal was finalised to portray that the price of the Temple land had been inflated.

Ravi Mohan Tiwari, one of the two property dealers, who sold the piece of land to the mandir Trust, revealed that the same aforementioned agreement for the land was made with the original owner of the land.

“While I purchased it for Rs 2 crore as per my agreement, the actual price must be more than Rs 20 crore now. But I sold it for just Rs 18.5 crore because it is for a project concerned with our faith.”

Reported by TFI, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International Working President Alok Kumar in his statement also remarked the same story,

“The land was in the name of Kusum Pathak. A few years ago, she had signed an agreement with Sultan Ansari and Ravi Mohan Tripathi in which she agreed to sell it for Rs 2 crore, which was the market rate of the land at the time.”

“Kusum Pathak was ready to sell it but she could not sell it because she had already entered into a deal. Meanwhile, both Sultan Ansari and Ravi Mohan Tripathi were also willing to sell it, but they couldn’t take that decision without the consent of Kusum and moreover they didn’t have any agreement to sell it,” added Alok Kumar.

SP leader Tej Narayan Pandey was looking to exploit his connection with Ansari to manufacture a fake story. As soon as the Samajwadi Party leader saw the prices, he thought of it as an opportunity to cause a furore without doing his due diligence. And after exposing the guilty, the Trust is coming after the likes of Pandey and Sanjay Singh with a defamation suit, to teach them a lesson to not play with people’s devotion.
