Leftists wanted you to believe that Yogi is about to be sacked and cabinet to be reshuffled. Well, nothing is happening

Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh elections, the left-liberal ecosystem created an environment of the sort where they claimed that the BJP top brass is miffed with the Yogi Adityanath administration and hence ahead of next year’s polls, will change both the Chief Minister and important Ministries. However, it turns out that it was just a figment of imagination from the minds of the left-liberal ecosystem with the BJP putting its weight behind UP CM Yogi Adityanath and his band of Ministers who will lead the party in the 2022 UP Assembly elections.

Putting rest to all speculations surrounding Yogi Adityanath and an impending cabinet reshuffle, BJP National Vice President and UP-in charge, Radha Mohan Singh put all such speculations to rest.

Singh asserted that no cabinet reshuffle is scheduled in the UP government while CM Yogi Adityanath may fill the vacant ministerial berths at an appropriate time. Radha Mohan Singh said, “As far as vacant seats are concerned, the chief minister will take a decision at an appropriate time.” He added that “BJP has the strongest organisation and most popular government in Uttar Pradesh”.

When asked about the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle in the UP government by reporters, Singh dismissed the possibility as replied, “there is nothing like that”.

Singh’s meeting with UP Governor Anandiben Patel had sent tongues wagging in the left-liberal ecosystem. Commenting on his meeting with Governor Patel, Singh stated, “After becoming the party’s in-charge of UP, I have not met the governor.” He added, “When she was the Gujarat chief minister, I was the agriculture minister. I had an old association with Gujarat. As I could not meet her in the past six months, I met her today. This was a personal meeting.”

Conspiracy theories have been abounding for the past many days of a possible rift between Yogi Adityanath and the BJP’s central leadership. Such rumours were only exacerbated on Saturday, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda were not seen extending public greetings to the UP-chief minister on his birthday. Leftists and those who are hoping for a BJP defeat in Uttar Pradesh had a field day as a consequence.

It was almost as if they believed the BJP was dropping Yogi Adityanath as the chief ministerial face of their campaign. Nothing else mattered to them. Liberals were just too happy to pay attention to the facts. The fact, however, is that the said national leaders have not been extending birthday greetings publicly for quite some time now.

According to News18, in view of the seriousness of the second Covid wave and the kind of damage it has done to the lives and livelihood of people, the top brass of the BJP wants to sound extremely sensitive towards the citizens, and extending public greetings runs contrary to that approach. The BJP has firmly ruled out the possibility of a change in leadership in Uttar Pradesh and dismissed reports that Yogi Adityanath’s government is in jeopardy over its handling of the Covid-19 situation.

Yogi Adityanath is among Prime Minister Modi’s favourites. To think that the BJP is beginning to get uncomfortable with him is an infantile proposition. BJP General Secretary BL Santosh last Tuesday tweeted high praises for Yogi Adityanath and his handling of the pandemic. Rest assured; the BJP is going forward with Yogi Adityanath as the face of the party in Uttar Pradesh. What seemed an uncontrollable surge of Covid-19 infections a month ago has been brought down to merely 1,000 new daily infections now with the majority of UP’s districts officially coming out of the lockdown this week.
