Bollywood actress turned part-time environmental activist, Juhi Chawla and her publicity lawsuit stunt against the implementation of 5G services across the country spectacularly backfired on Wednesday when an unidentified man entered the online hearing and dropped some chartbuster beats. Apparently, it was Juhi Chawla herself who had posted the link of the online hearing on her Instagram profile and invited the nuisance creators.

As soon as the hearing began, a man entered the meeting and repeatedly started asking “Where is Juhi ma’am. I can’t see Juhi ma’am.” While the court initially ignored the man, it couldn’t do so further when he broke into an impromptu song.

The man first sang ‘Ghoonghat Ki Aad Se’ from Juhi’s 1993 film Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke. Although the court asked the court master to remove the person from the online hearing and lock the same, the singer left the hearing but joined it again and took his singing career to new heights. During his second outing, the disruptor started singing ‘Lal Lal Honthon Pe’ from Juhi’s 1995 film Naajayaz.

As a result of the bizarre disruption, the hearing had to be stopped. It resumed, only after the man was removed from the session. The court, seemingly miffed, took the matter seriously and issued a contempt notice. The court also directed the Delhi Police to search for the person and take legal action against him.

The video of the man singing and serenading the environmental activist has since gone viral on social media platforms and netizens are having a good laugh over the entire incident. Juhi Chawla has come at the radar of the netizens as well for her foolish decision to paste the link of the meeting in her Instagram bio.

To make matters worse for Juhi, the Delhi High Court termed her petition against the roll-out of 5G technology in India as “defective” and done for “media publicity”. Justice JR Medha also asked why the actor had moved the court directly without first giving any representation to the government. while reserving the order on the plea, the judge said, “It is a defective plaint. This suit has been filed only for media publicity and nothing more than that. It is very shocking.”

As reported by TFI, the yesteryear actress a few days ago claimed that if 5G technology was to be implemented across the country then people will be exposed to radiofrequency radiation (RF) at a rate of 10 times or 100 times the current figure.

Juhi stated, “We are not against the implementation of technological advancements. On the contrary, we enjoy using the latest products that the world of technology has to offer, including in the field of wireless communications. However, whilst using the latter kind of devices, we are in a constant dilemma, because after doing our own research and studies regarding the RF radiation from wirefree gadgets and network cell towers, we have sufficient reason to believe that the radiation is extremely harmful and injurious to the health and safety of the people.”

Based on some anecdotal evidence and conspiracy theories, Juhi filed the “ill-conceived litigation”. However, after the court’s remarks and the bizarre singing incident, she has been left red-faced and embarrassed. And hopefully, this should be the end of Juhi’s short-termed environmental activism career.
