Covid Scam 2021: Many ‘humanitarian’ organisations collected funds from Indians and the money went straight to Pakistan

The Covid-19 crisis of India has given the opportunity to many noble and selfless organisations to step up and serve humanity. They are working day and night to ensure that the lives of ordinary Indian citizens are made less miserable. What the second wave of the pandemic has also given rise to, however, are fraudulent organisations and thug-like NGOs who are prying upon ordinary people and scamming them in the name of Covid relief work. At fault also are unaware citizens, who are mindlessly donating to such fraudulent organisations without any basic study of what the NGO is and how it operates.

As explained by TFI earlier, there was always a high chance that a good number of these “selfless” NGOs were, in fact, scamming Indians in the name of Covid relief. What has now come to light, however, is simply shocking. According to a report by DisinfoLab, the vast amounts of money collected from unsuspecting Indians by various sham organisations could go from terror financing to the Pakistani army to Islamists to Hamas – apart from serving as pocket money for the charities.

This is what is being called the ‘Covid Scam 2021’.  According to the DisInfo Lab report, several fund-raisers were set up on April 27 and 28 in the US by Islamist organisations being run from Pakistan. Among such organisations is the name ‘IMANA Cares’, which TFI had exposed to be a fraud organisation in April itself. According to DisInfo Lab’s calculations based on the funds they collected in the specific time period, there was a time they were receiving donations at a speed of $100K per hour.

As per the calculations, the total amount collected by the organisations can be anywhere between ₹30 crores to ₹158 crores. DisInfo Lab said, “Given that IMANA has almost zero transparency about the fund it collected, there is no way to ascertain the actual amount it might have received.” These are horrifying figures, and the mere thought that Indians contributed over 100 crore rupees indirectly to funding terror against their own country should serve as a lesson for all – to never trust random, unknown and unheard-of NGOs claiming to serve society.

The collection was so much that IMANA kept revising its target. IMANA Relief Chairman Dr Mehr claimed on May 7th that they got $100k first day, and thereafter $100k per hour! meaning anywhere bw INR 30 cr – 150 cr was collected by IMANA alone. #IMANACaresFraud

Fakery Goes Deeper:

IMANA be so fake, not only it fabricates stories of help, they have stolen images of others’ charity work to show as theirs – not once but twice. A pic from Chinar Fdn was used in Mar 2021 as diabetic camp in India – and in May 2021 – as Covid help!

DisInfo Lab, while publishing its comprehensive report exposing organisations like IMANA Cares for the alleged ‘Covid scam’, said, “This was a well-planned operation – to exploit the tragedy as opportunity – and this was not first time such heist was taking place, but one of the biggest till date.” As per the document, it also turned out that there were not one or two but hundreds of fund collections going on in India to provide ‘help’ during the most trying times of the second wave. One can only imagine the amount of money that will now be used to fund anti-India activities with no less than funds provided for by Indians themselves.

Global Terror Links – JeI/ Hamas

IMANA/ ISNA have also been funding Al-Khidmat, the ‘charity wing’ of JeI, and has also been funding Hamas. ISNA has also links with Holy Land Foundation, banned in USA for HAMAS links.

The Islamic Medical Association of North America (IMANA) had been running paid advertisements on Instagram, and even coughing up money to paid influencers and promoters on the platform to share its posts and stories calling for people to contribute to the fundraiser for Covid relief work. IMANA has partnered with ISNA and coincidentally even their partners are dedicated to the betterment of Muslim society alone. Interestingly, ISNA got its charity status revoked in 2018 by Canadian authorities for ‘non-compliance’ and also for having links to the Hizbul Mujahideen, which is waging a war against the Indian state in Kashmir. Initially, IMANA Cares aimed for ₹1.8 crores as the total amount to be collected, which on the same day was increased to ₹3 crores and later to and ₹5.6 crores by the organisation.

IMANA Cares was found to have gone tremendously popular in India overnight a few days ago and has since been getting tremendous traction and support from India’s youngsters. It is indeed saddening that the organisation will now be using the funds received in the name of Covid relief, for anti-India and anti-human activities under their Islamist agenda. The government of India must bring in stringent laws to deal with such organisations, and empower Indian agencies to investigate and bring them to book around the world.
