As a special team of Delhi Police came knocking on Twitter India’s offices in Delhi and Gurugram to serve a notice, the stakes have been raised after the micro-blogging platform picked up a fight with the Indian government. If the statement of Twitter India’s Managing Director, Manish Maheshwari is anything to go by, the employees of Twitter India are just mere puppets with such large scale decisions coming straight from the Twitter headquarters in America.
At times when Twitter is not bending backwards for Hitler’s reincarnation Xi Jinping and his Communist Party of China, the microblogging platform meddles in country’s internal matters in order to bring about a regime change.

The Delhi Police which is tasked with investigating the Congress toolkit controversy, served a notice to Twitter India MD Manish Maheswari, which read: “During the course of investigation, it has come to our knowledge that you (Twitter India) are acquainted with the facts of the matter and are in possession of information with regard to the same. You are therefore requested to be present in the office of the undersigned for the purpose of investigation with all the relevant documents on 22 May, 2021 at 01:00 pm.”

In what reveals American intervention in India’s internal matters, Maheshwari claimed that he is a ‘mere employee’ of their India office and he has ‘nothing to do with this tweet’ referring to the addition of ‘manipulated media’ tag on a section of BJP leaders.

Indian Express quoted a senior Delhi Police officer as saying, “Twitter declared the tweets as manipulated media. They must have some information which prompted them to… We asked them to provide it to us so we can take action on the complaint, but Maheshwari told us he has ‘nothing to do with this tweet’, and that he is a ‘mere employee’ of their India office.”
If Maheshwari and his team had nothing to do with the addition of the tag of manipulated media, it means that Twitter is meddling in India’s domestic affairs under direct orders from America. Buoyed by the success of the social media giant playing a key role in removing Trump from the White House, the microblogging platform is perhaps mounting a similar strategy to remove Prime Minister Modi come 2024. Such efforts will likely have the backing from the Democrats as they are not only filled to the brim with love for China as evident from blocking the export of crucial raw materials needed to manufacture Covishield, but also remain grateful for becoming a part of Joe Biden’s Presidential campaign. Back in India, the Indian National Congress couldn’t be more happier as amidst dwindling domestic support, the party is quite literally clutching at straws.
