Liberals never questioned Bollywood celebs for going on foreign tours, but they are opposing Cyrus Poonawalla’s trip to London

Cyrus Poonawalla, Bollywood, Liberals

After hounding Serum Institute of India Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Adar Poonawalla and his family with death threats, the liberals of the country have trained their guns on his father Cyrus Poonawalla. The Chairman of the Poonawalla Group, Cyrus recently left for London to join son Adar Poonawalla and his family in London for a regular ‘summer vacation’. However, the liberals took this as an opportunity to twist the narrative and claimed that the Poonawalla family had fled India in times of a crisis.

Speaking to the Indian Express, Cyrus Poonawalla had to clear and air by clarifying that he was on routine summer vacation — something he takes every year in May, and any suggestion that they have “left” the country in this time of crisis was “false and malicious”.

The same liberal intelligentsia which is slamming Poonwalla does not have a problem when its cherished and pampered Bollywood celebrities quietly check out of the country amidst a raging pandemic to find an escape in exotic foreign lands.

As reported by TFI, Bollywood stars Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff had recently reached the Maldives like clockwork once again while Shraddha Kapoor arrived at the island nation for the third time after Maharashtra went into a lockdown. Not only this, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Janhvi Kapoor also caught international flights and went to foreign shores to avoid the problems the country is currently facing.

However, it was Pooja Bedi who grabbed the headlines for her insensitive behaviour. In April, Pooja shared a video of herself and her fiancée Maneck Contractor on a speedboat ride in Goa, without masks. “Joys of living in healthy, happy #goa. Free your mind #NoFear. Life is meant to be lived…not spent caged and masked for a year/ years in fear of a virus that’s clearly not going away! If you died tomorrow after year of masking/lockdown.. what would ur greatest regret be?” she captioned the video.

While the Bollywood celebs got a free pass, Adar Poonawalla continued receiving threats for the supply of the vaccines by the liberal militia gang. On April 16, the director of SII, Prakash Kumar Singh, wrote to the ministry seeking security for Adar Poonawalla.

In his letter, Singh mentioned that Poonawalla was receiving threats from various people regarding the supply of Covid-19 vaccines. “We are working shoulder-to-shoulder to fight against Covid-19 pandemic with the government of India under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji,” the letter said.

As a result, the government had to instantly provide Y-category security to the SII CEO, who is currently the main man in India’s mass vaccination drive to cover the entire population. However, merely a week after being provided with the Y-category security, a writ petition was filed in the Bombay High Court seeking Z plus-category security for Adar and his family.

Such double standards by the liberal gang of the country are the reason why no one takes them or their suggestions seriously. Only if they stopped their attacks on the Poonawalla family and focused on something constructive, the nation would have benefited from it. Bickering and in-fighting can be left for some other time.
