If one were to list down the establishments named after the Antonio Maino family in India, one would end up writing a novel the size of which George RR Martin would be proud of. After the Congress ecosystem lambasted the Modi government for having PM Modi’s photo on the vaccination certificate, Chhattisgarh CM and Gandhi loyalist Bhupesh Baghel has replaced PM Modi’s photo with his own photo in the state’s vaccination certificates.
It is no secret that Congress’ love for hypocrisy knows no bounds as while steadfastly against PM Modi’s photo on the vaccination certificate, the grand old party gave the nod to Bhupesh Baghel to have his own photo in Chhattisgarh’s vaccination certificates.
Just for the heck of it, the Chattisgarh government has launched its own portal CGTEEKA for registering the age group of 18-44. It seems that the only motive of CGTEEKA is to ensure vaccination certificates with Baghel’s photo which would n0t have been allowed on CoWin.
Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singh Deo sought to brazen it out as he said, “I don’t think there should be any issue on that. When Government of India was providing the money and vaccine they had the Prime Minister’s photograph. If the state government is doing something, then we will use the Chief Minister’s photograph instead. When the Centre has left it on the states to bear the financial burden and the state governments are procuring their own vaccines, why should they not issue their own vaccination certificates? Why should the certificates carry the photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi?”
One must not forget that the decentralisation of the vaccination program where states would be allowed to procure the vaccines on their own apart from the Centre’s allocation, was a long held demand of the Congress-led Opposition parties. In fact, the Chhattisgarh government went on loggerheads with the Central government earlier this year, as the state was initially allotted Covaxin by the Central government which inevitably led to more vaccine hesitancy.
Perhaps living in a parallel world, some INC leaders are crying hoax over PM Modi’s photograph on the vaccine certificates while completely ignoring Bhupesh Baghel’s move.
Maharashtra Congress which is a subject of ridicule amidst the Maha Vikas Aghadi government took to Twitter to state, PM announced DEMONetization, not Finance Minister, PM does Pariksha Pe Charcha, not Education Minister, PM’s photo is on the vaccine certificate, not Scientists who manufactured vaccines,PM can’t have centralization of praise but decentralization of criticism. #FailendraModi.”

Congress worker Srivatsa who’s active only on Twitter tweeted, “Dec 7th, 1996: 11.74 cr children. Jan 18th, 1997: 12.73 cr children. On each of these days, Indian govt had given Free Polio Virus Vaccine to crores of children. They were world records. Was there CoWin? OTP? PM pic on certificate? Modi is an useless PM who knows only to talk.”

However, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh stole the show with his tweet. “My younger son, who is currently pursuing his education in UK, got his first shot in London. No photo of Boris Johnson on the certificate, unlike what occupies pride of place with flowing beard on the CoWin certificate in our country,” tweeted the former Union Minister.

The thing is that Ramesh’s son can visit the famous London bridge without being bombarded with the name of some politician, however, a common Mumbaikar will have to repeatedly see “Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link” while travelling through the scenic Bandra Worli sea link. Hypocrisy the name is Indian National Congress.
