Congress has disassociated itself from the toolkit but its latest actions prove that everything has gone as per planned

While Coronavirus and quarantine were the words of the year in 2020, ‘toolkit’ seems to have taken the honours this year. The Congress on Tuesday filed a police complaint against BJP president J.P. Nadda, Union minister Smriti Irani, BL Santosh and others after BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra held a press conference accusing the Opposition party of preparing a devious “toolkit” which attempted to defame the Modi government.

Addressing a joint press conference, the party’s research cell head Rajeev Gowda and spokesperson Pawan Khera said instead of helping people during the Covid-19 pandemic, the BJP is stooping to low-level politics, asserting that it will neither bow nor be cowed down to such pressure tactics.

Reported by TFI, Congress had been caught with its pants down trying to spread misinformation against the Modi government at a time when the country is only beginning to get some respite from the second Covid-19 wave.

In the toolkit, the Congress party, under the hegemonic control of the Gandhis, has been caught making it amply clear that priority must be given to VIPs, journalists, media professionals and influencers by the IYC when they ask for Covid-19 related assistance.

This particular document has caught social media by storm and has exposed Congress for the party of demented demons that it is. Since the Congress’ shamelessness knows no bounds, it has also directed its workers and volunteers to respond to SOS message from common citizens only if they tag the Indian Youth Congress handle.

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who are usually hyperactive on social media platforms to demonize the government for every little inconvenience have so far not come out and given any rebuttal to the toolkit conspiracy.

During times as unprecedented as these, political ideologies amount to nothing and it is the moral and national duty of the opposition to come together and help the nation without any malice. However, the fact that Congress even attempted to milk a pandemic to resurrect its dead fortunes on the national level should be enough for one to understand how little the party cares for the welfare of the public.

Electoral gains pip all moral duties, even if it means hijacking the beds in hospitals and later using it to earn social media points. The filing of the police complaint is a childish attempt to deflect the public’s interest from the toolkit which perhaps should be thoroughly investigated first.
