As nation mourns the loss of 23 bravehearts, Rahul Gandhi chooses to question their methods and execution

At a time when the nation collectively mourns the loss of 23 brave-hearts, forget mentioning or condemning Naxalites even once, Congress scion Rahul Gandhi has had the galls to now questioning the methods and strategy of the Indian Armed Forces.

The seemingly good-for-nothing dynast whose only claim to fame is being born in an illustrious and powerful family, Rahul Gandhi has discovered a new low as in the backdrop of the deadly Naxal attack on India’s Armed Forces, he is now questioning their methods and strategy.

Tagging a news clipping of CRPF DG Kuldeep Singh’s “no operational and intelligence failure,” Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “If there was no intelligence failure then a 1:1 death ratio means it was a poorly designed and incompetently executed operation. Our Jawans are not cannon fodder to be martyred at will.”

By calling the operation “poorly designed” and “incompletely executed”, Rahul Gandhi has resorted to insulting the CRPF personnel, many of whom were killed in action.

While Rahul has been active in targeting the Central government over the dastardly attack, he seems to have given a clean chit to the Congress-led Chhattisgarh government while steadfastly not mentioning the words “Naxal terror” or “Naxalites” even once in his tweets about the attack.

Former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, Shesh Paul Vaid hit out at Rahul Gandhi’s tweet as he responded, “Mr Gandhi, though I generally refrain from commenting on Political matters, as someone who has lead operations in Kashmir, I find your tweet disrespectful to CRPF. Casualties are unavoidable in operations of such nature against elements supported by hostile neighbors.”

Earlier, last week, in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, the hub of Naxalism, 22 jawans of paramilitary forces were martyred and 31 sustained injuries in a gruesome crossfire. On the Naxal side, 15 were killed and 20 were injured, according to reports.

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), its elite unit CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action), the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Special Task Force (STF) have launched an operation against Naxals from five places – Tarrem, Usoor, and Pamed (Bijapur) and Minpa and Narsapuram (Sukma) to wipe out them completely from the state.

ThePrint reported that the Modi government and the MHA had decided to go after the security blanket that surrounds Naxal leadership. The Central Committee of CPI (Maoist) is protected by an entity called the Central Regional Command (CRC), and five new CRPF battalions have been posted in the Sukma and Bijapur districts by the MHA, where the CRC is most active.

The report also added that the new battalion camps will hold 30 CRPF camps, which will be stationed at gaps of five to six kilometres, thus being able to spread out over 150 km between Sukma and Bijapur. The plan is to bring around 1,500 square kilometres of the Maoist-stronghold territory under their control.

Time and again, Rahul Gandhi has acted in a manner that hampers the interests of India. However, he seems to have now hit a new low as an increasingly desperate Rahul can hit any low to fulfil his dreams of becoming the country’s Prime Minister.
