Trust the liberal media cabal to raise doubts about a heartwarming story and spin it to something else if it doesn’t suit their narrative. After the news of 85-year-old Swayamsevak, Narayan Dabhadkar giving up his life to save a younger patient quickly went viral, Loksatta and Indian Express took it upon themselves to cast suspicions on the ultimate sacrifice of Dabhadkar.
As if it wasn’t bad enough that the majority of the mainstream media blacked out Dabhadkar’s affiliation with the RSS while reporting the story about his ultimate sacrifice, liberal media outlets Loksatta and Indian Express stooped to a new low as they took it upon themselves to ‘fact-check’ Dabhadkar’s story ably supported a
couple good-for-nothing ‘journalists’.
Indian Express ran an article titled, “Viral claim about 85-year-old RSS worker giving up his bed for a younger man runs into questions” where the publication attempted to cast apprehension over the sacrifice of Dabhadkar. The publication quizzed the hospital authorities in a desperate attempt to discredit the story while also badgering the members of the grieving family – most of whom are Covid positive and battling the virus.
Loksatta ran a ‘fact-check’ of sorts by quoting an obscure ‘social activist’ where the activist claimed that Indira Gandhi Hospital had no patient by the name Narayan Dhabadkar admitted to their hospital, based on his interaction with the hospital authorities.
Discredited Marathi journalist Nikhil Wagle who is known to spend large parts of his day worshipping NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar, took to Twitter to claim, “RSS is ‘planting’ stories of sacrifices made
by its activists. Most of them are half-truth or fake. For example, how RSS workers fought corona in Dharavi. Is it their tradition or are they doing it to save Modi’s image?”

For the uninitiated, Swayamsevak Narayan Dabhadkar, an 85-year-old Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) member etched his name in the history books with a sacrifice that not many can muster the courage to do so. The octogenarian battling with Covid-19 and dipping oxygen saturation levels walked out of the hospital to give his bed to a 40-year old man and departed for the higher astral plane three days later.
According to a post shared by an RSS sevika, Shivani Wakhare, on Facebook, Narayan Dabhadkar contracted Covid-19 amid the second wave of the ongoing pandemic. As his SPO2 levels dropped to 60, his daughter Aasawari Kothiwan ran from pillar to post to find a bed for her father.
Ultimately, she was able to reserve a bed in the Indira Gandhi hospital where Dabhadkar was rushed to by his grandson-in-law. However, upon reaching the hospital, Dabhadkar started gasping for breath as his situation worsened. As the two waited for the hospital formalities to be completed, Dabhadkar saw a woman in her 40’s along with her children crying and begging the hospital authorities for a bed to admit her husband who was in a critical condition.

Dabhadkar kaka, as he was affectionately called, then decided to give up his bed so that a much younger person’s life could be saved, said the kin. He then made his grandson-in-law call his daughter to tell her his decision. Perplexed by this, she hesitantly agreed with him after a while. Dabhadkar kaka immediately signed a consent form saying he was forfeiting his bed for the young man and asked his grandson-in-law to take him back home, where he died three days later.
Only the twisted minds amidst the liberal fraternity can stoop to a new low just because of their blinking hatred for the RSS.
