Ever since the advent of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, law and order in Maharashtra has gone for a complete toss with the state agencies often being used to carry out vendetta politics against the critics of the Maharashtra government with case in point being Arnab Goswami and Kangana Ranaut. Hatred peddled by the opposition parties led by the Indian National Congress against the Reliance group and the Ambani family finally bore fruit as a stolen car filled with 20 gelatine sticks and a purported threat letter was recently found near Antilia. The Ambani Bomb Scare case leading to the mysterious death of the car owner, Mansukh Hiren, has put the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in a spot and has the potential to sink the alliance.

As the leader of the opposition, Devendra Fadnavis rains fire on the Maharashtra government over the mysterious death of Mansukh Hiren, the role of police officer Sachin Waze in the events leading up to Hiren’s death is under increasing scrutiny. The Ambani Bomb Scare case is clouded with many inconsistencies.

The former Maharashtra CM, during the state assembly session, said, “Why he is not being arrested under Section 201 of IPC (destroying evidence) Who is defending him?.”

Sachin Vaze was the investigating officer in the Ambani Bomb Scare case. In a startling revelation, Fadnavis, while quoting Hiren’s wife, claimed that Vaze was in possession of the suspected car (in which explosive were found) for four months.

The three-party alliance is on the tenterhooks after the Central government wasted no time in handing over the case of the SUV to the National Investigative Agency (NIA). Last week, shortly after Fadnavis’s request to the state government to provide protection to Hiren, the latter’s body was fished out from Thane creek. While the Mumbai Police initially claimed it as a case of suicide, Hiren’s family squarely rejected the claim with the post mortem report being inconclusive. It is alleged that Hiren, upon being discovered, had handkerchiefs stuffed in his mouth while his friends attested to the fact that Hiren was a good swimmer.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s nervousness can be clearly seen as he was visibly unhappy with the Centre’s decision to hand over the Ambani bomb scare case to the NIA. “The system isn’t just for one man. The previous government had the same system. We fully trust it hence ATS is on it. But despite that, if the Centre hands over the case to the NIA, it’d mean something is fishy. We won’t give up till we expose it,” said Thackeray.

Bizarrely, he then brought in the suicide of Dadra and Nagar Haveli MP Mohan Delkar which has absolutely no links to what happened in the Mansukh Hiren case. “The opposition didn’t speak on that as Silvassa is in a union territory. Of late, they are plotting to defame Maharashtra by projecting that there is no system here & everything is dependent on the Centre,” said the Maharashtra Chief Minister.

The three-party alliance have been caught on the wrong foot as an aggressive Fadnavis refuses to let the Maharashtra government off the hook on the Ambani Bomb Scare case and ‘alleged’ suicide of Mansukh Hiren which looks to be murky as more startling details continue to emerge.
