Mamata Banerjee’s doctors perform a miracle, create a plaster that heals fractures in 24 hours

If one takes a dive into the pool of popular culture, one can find a fictional character named Barry Allen aka ‘The Flash’, from the DC comics. The character is a ‘speedster’ having lightning-quick speed and simultaneously has the ability to heal in no time from life-threatening injuries. Another example might be Wolverine from the Marvel comics who has an adamantium skeleton and similarly can heal from any injury in practically no time. While all the aforementioned characters are fictional beings, we have a real-life superhero amongst us named ‘Didi’ or simply the CM of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee who seems to have conjured similar powers of healing.

Mamata Banerjee, who was allegedly injured during poll campaigning at Nandigram on Wednesday and had to be put in plaster is on and about her usual business in roughly two days after suffering ‘life-threatening’ injuries.

Accompanied by her supporters and party workers, the CM of the state emerged in a wheelchair from the hospital and headed straight to her Kalighat house in Kolkata on Friday. Interestingly, Mamata Banerjee, who is alleged to have suffered a serious hairline fracture, was seen with a crepe bandage, raising questions about the seriousness of her injury.

Several Twitter users had a field day figuring out Mamata Banerjee’s injuries and how she was able to recover so fast and get into the thick of the action.

West Bengal is currently the theatre of dreams for the BJP as the party looks to breach the defenses of TMC and the left to form a government. However, in the theatre, it is Mamata who is pulling all the antics with her shoddy and, at times, unimaginative acting. While initially the blame for the attack was passed onto the BJP by Mamata, several reports quoting local witnesses quashed those stories as a figment of imagination by Mamata Banerjee’s PR team.

The poll-bound state of West Bengal is going into an eight-phase electoral process starting later this month. BJP has edged TMC considerably in the opinion polls so far, and thus sensing impending doom, Mamata Banerjee has resorted to engineering stories of malfeasance against the BJP. However, the public has seen right through it and Mamata’s last-ditch efforts have yielded no results, albeit turned the tide even more in the BJP’s favour.
