JP Nadda is already there in Uttar Pradesh to prepare for state elections. The message – Bengal is won

JP Nadda, BJP, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh

The elections to the immediate poll-bound states of West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, Kerala and Tamil Nadu have not even started yet. Any normal political party would have its head deep in the electoral waters of these states. The BJP, however, is different, which is why national president of the saffron party – JP Nadda has already sounded the poll bugle in Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi-led government of Uttar Pradesh faces the electorate next year, when the state, along with Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Gujarat goes to polls. The BJP was led by JP Nadda on Sunday during the launch of the party’s campaign in UP.

JP Nadda chose Prime Minister Modi’s constituency of Varanasi to kickstart BJP’s campaign. One must be of the impression that all of Nadda’s, and the party’s energies should be focussed entirely on the currently poll-bound states, particularly West Bengal. However, for the BJP’s National President to reach UP and kick-off the party’s campaign is an indication that he is confident of having clinched Bengal from the hands of the TMC.

The BJP is confident of having secured West Bengal for itself. The all-important state is facing an organic ousting of the TMC-regime, as citizens will very soon take to expressing their angst against Mamata Banerjee through the ballots. Prashant Kishor is soon flying to Punjab to join Captain Amarinder Singh in helping him retain the state of Punjab once again. TMC leaders have quit their party en masse, to the extent that an exodus-saturation of sorts has been reached, and the BJP too has frozen new admissions. The writing is on the wall – BJP is winning West Bengal.

It makes complete sense, therefore, for JP Nadda to begin preparing for the Uttar Pradesh polls. And then, UP is just too important a state for the BJP to take chances with, and a lackadaisical approach by the saffron party in the most populous state of India a year before it goes to polls could hit the party’s fortunes. Nadda knows the same, which is why in Varanasi on Sunday, he told BJP workers to once again start working on the booth level. “Every BJP worker should start strengthening their booth. Booth’s victory will lead to victory in the UP Legislative Assembly elections. In Mission 2022, we have to work on the ground,” JP Nadda said.

Telling everyone in the state to buckle up, Nadda also remarked that for the UP elections due next year, the role of party persons, from workers to the national president has increased manifold. Effectively, this was a directive to all persons concerned that they must now focus on the polls next year. Nadda also urged the party workers to inform people about the works carried out by the State and Central governments and be a part of people’s “happiness and sorrows” and help solve their problems.

As has been often said, the BJP is an election winning machine which does not stop even for a moment to rest. Even while the saffron party has four immediate states to campaign in currently, the organisation has started readying itself for UP as well.
