Donald Trump had made India the foundation stone of his “Indo-Pacific” policy which the democrats have again started calling “Asia Pacific”. Trump and PM Modi shared great personal rapport and both went the extra mile for each other. Trump openly supported Hindus, talked in Hindi, attended a predominantly Hindu gathering first in Houston then in Motera, and openly criticised Islamic terrorism, an emotive issue for Hindus. It was just the push Hindus in America needed.
It’s a tendency of minorities to flock with minorities and other downtrodden communities. They share ghettos, break bread together and stick together. Indian Americans were loyal democrat supporters as it was a party that supported minorities.
So how dangerous is Joe Biden for India?
Short answer – very.

But it’s human nature to progress and move to more affluent groups, localities and positions. Hindus while being a minuscule community in the United States amassed considerable wealth and with time their loyalty shifted to republicans. Wealth kicks in the right wingy tendencies in an individual or a group and I am not making this up, it’s pure human sciences.
Now, about Obama, the last President from the Democratic Party: Obama was openly critical of outsourcing jobs to India and work visa from India for IT companies were being gradually dispensed within his time. He even went on to disgrace India as the problem for joblessness in US.
In his recently published memoir Obama took an indirect dig at PM Modi by saying “The quickest route to national unity in India is expressing hostility toward Pakistan”. A pragmatist to the core, Obama balanced this statement with elaborate criticism of the Gandhis and Manmohan Singh because he knew PM Modi is not going anywhere and he wanted to stay away from creating an India vs USA situation.
Democrats have always considered themselves the guardians of the world, they have taken a hardline stance on almost every Indian domestic issue. And in the last 15 years, the party has been hijacked by an anti-American gang. Bernie is a proponent of socialism. Proven borderline Jihadists like Ilhan Omar have found acceptance in the Democratic Party. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez comes across as a Castro fan.
Now worthless Hillary, was sympathetic towards Pakistan and gave it billions of dollars in aid and military equipment only to be used against India. She was even instrumental in blocking PM Modi’s visa. In short, India will be a soft target for Joe Biden to keep the radicals in his party in good humour.
Now, Biden is a night watchman, a seat warmer, a glorified authorised signatory and a loyal pawn of the American deep state. Joe Biden wants New Delhi to “restore” the rights of all Kashmiris and has also expressed disappointment over the CAA and the NRC in Assam. He went on to compare Kashmir and Assam with the human rights abuse of Uyghur Muslims in China’s far Western province- Xinjiang. The worst part was that the policy paper didn’t even mention Pakistan sponsored terrorism.
One of the lines in the policy paper read, “In Kashmir, the Indian government should take all necessary steps to restore rights of all the people of Kashmir. Restrictions on dissent, such as preventing peaceful protests or shutting or slowing down the Internet, weakens democracy”
It went on to add “Joe Biden has been disappointed by the measures that the government of India has taken with the implementation and aftermath of the National Register of Citizens in Assam and the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act into law.”
India falls very low on Biden’s priority list. His stance towards China is definitely not Hawkish as was expected by every geopolitical analyst. Biden has already hinted about sanctions on India for purchasing S400s from Russia.
Pro-Democrat media and celebrity gang is already at India’s throat, demonising it for the fake farmers’ protests. The niece of the Vice President of the United States (who blocked me today) is talking more about India than US these days.
So Joe Biden is bad news for India but India has nothing to fear. India has a full majority government led by the strongest prime minister in the History of India.
America is in decline and its society is more polarised than ever before. At this point, Biden can be a small distraction for PM Modi but if he continues to mollycoddle China and restores “healthy ties” with Pakistan, he could become a major threat.
