As the Khalistani hand backing the farmers’ protests becomes increasingly clear, banned Khalistani outfit Sikhs For Justice has appealed to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to unilaterally declare the independence of their respective states from India, according to a Republic report.

In a bizarre attempt to break India, Sikhs For Justice in its letter to Thackeray and Banerjee, has appealed them to ‘unilaterally declare independence’ from India as the radical outfit alleges that the country is exploiting the state’s resources.

The separatist outfit advocated for the separation of Maharashtra and West Bengal from India to ‘safeguard the prosperity, ethnicity, identity, language, and culture of the Bengali and Marathi peoples from the Indian hegemony which denies diversity and imposes a historical homogeny’.

Such are the great minds running SFJ that in the letter the outfit claimed that the elected legislative bodies in both Maharashtra and West Bengal had the power to pass a Unilateral Declaration of Independence to secede from the Union of India. Not only this, the pro-Khalistan outfit claimed that the separation of the two states will be well within the international norms as it cited the example of Kosovo.

Offering its legal service to the state of Maharashtra and West Bengal, SFJ claimed, ‘ethnicity, language, culture, and identity of the indigenous people of West Bengal and Maharashtra is under increasing existential threat from the discriminatory policies of New Delhi’.

Politics aside, both Uddhav Thackeray and Mamata Banerjee must issue strong statements against this letter which seeks to break India. Being in the camp of Opposition parties, their support to the farmers’ protests is understandable, however, both Thackeray and Banerjee must act tough against the Khalistanis who are seeking to profit from the farmers’ protests.

Recently, the outfit came out in open support of ‘activists’ Disha Ravi, Nikita Jacob, Shantanu, Deep Sidhu and Nodeep Kaur. “General Counsel” of SFJ, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun released a video on YouTube Wednesday in which he called upon people across the world to ensure that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gets sanctioned by the world community.

In its video calling on the international community to support such activists, Pannun urged his supporters of the farmers’ protests to shoot off emails to ambassadors of the US, the UK, and European Union countries like Germany, Italy, etc, asking them to impose “sanctions on Indian PM Narendra Modi”.

He said that this issue “needs to be escalated to international forums and platforms and the world needs to be told”. Pannun also said, “while Sikhs For Justice believes in the liberation of Punjab from India, the farmers can have their will only when they will have a separate nation.”

While the SFJ can try all its might and attempt to influence the opposition leaders in its desperate attempt to break India, its dreams will never see the light of the day.
