As the world witnessed in horror the rioting and mob-violence in Washington DC’s Capitol Hill – the seat of the world’s oldest democracy’s Congress. Indian liberals and anti-Hindu propagandists thought they had got hold of a golden opportunity to vilify India, BJP and fascist right-wingers back home. However, their entire endeavour has proven to be a massive dud and made them run helter-skelter to save themselves the massive embarrassment. Contrary to the perception of many, the Indian flag was waved outside Capitol Hill not by some Hindu fanatic, but by one Vincent Xavier.

Interestingly, Vincent Xavier is reportedly a fan of Indian MP Shashi Tharoor. Tharoor was at the forefront of insinuating that the Indian flag was waved outside Capitol Hill by a ‘Trumpist mob’, which used the national symbol as a ‘weapon’.
Hilariously, for Shashi Tharoor to realise now that the flag-waver was none other than his own fan would definitely be an embarrassment of the highest order. Imagine sermonising about ‘intolerance’ and supremacism, only to be exposed as someone whose alleged fan was indulging in a protest which also saw brazen attempts of political insurrection in the United States.
Unfortunately, @varungandhi80, there are some Indians with the same mentality as that Trumpist mob, who enjoy using the flag as a weapon rather than a badge of pride, & denounce all who disagree with them as anti-nationals & traitors. That flag there is a warning to all of us. https://t.co/uJIaDlLklt

Disapproved of it totally. Do you consider yourself responsible for the misguided actions of every well-wisher? I denounce any attempt to bring my country's beloved flag into a shameful American mob.

Of course, after having been exposed, Shashi Tharoor was forced to ‘disapprove’ the actions of the ardent fan. “I denounce any attempt to bring my country’s beloved flag into a shameful American mob,” he added.
While the man holding the Indian flag outside Capitol Hill is no Hindu but is definitely an anti-Communist from Kerala who had also met Shashi Tharoor in 2015, Indian liberals who had worked overtime to project him as a Hindu supremacist seeking to derail the democratic process of the United States were nowhere to be found after being exposed.
In fact, many people were even drawing parallels between the U.S. and India, while also insinuating that right-wing bigotry and mob mentality knew no borders. However, many liberals were shocked to see a Trump-supporter, who is also a Shashi Tharoor fan, participating in the anti-Democrat demonstrations in the U.S. on Wednesday. Of course, none of them knew him to be a Tharoor fan, and all such specimens crying over rising bonhomie between Hindu and White supremacists in the U.S. are now maintaining stony silence.

This is such an embarassing sight. The only other flag is the Indian flag in the midst of the terror march at Capitol Hill. The 'Ab ki baar, Trump sarkar' hindu supremacists alongwith white supremacists. Are we surprised ? pic.twitter.com/1OTkcxZHNb

The India flag spotted in a far right, white supremacist violent fascist mob. Whoever took it there has deeply degraded India’s tricolour #CapitolRiots https://t.co/wxYgS6tzrU

Meanwhile, a vilification campaign has begun against Vincent Xavier and other non-Whites for daring to support Trump in a democratic manner. In India too, such individuals are being looked at as devils that have no democratic rights to protest. Additionally, Xavier or others have not been found to have indulged in the violence of any sorts and were merely exercising their democratic rights, which liberals otherwise celebrated in India.
According to Xavier, several Vietnamese, Indian, Korean and Iranian origin Americans and people from other nations and races, who believe massive voter fraud has happened in the recently held US elections, had joined Republican-supporters at the rally in solidarity with Trump. Of course, none of them had pre-empted mindless moral grandstanding by Indian liberals as a potential roadblock to them exercising their rights.
