Former Indian cricketer-turned actor and a Hindu-hating element – Yograj Singh has been sacked by director Vivek Agnihotri from his upcoming project ‘The Kashmir Files’ over the incendiary, vicious and largely inflammatory speech made by him in the ongoing farmers’ protest, against women and Hindus. Having foul-mouthed Hindu women, Yograj Singh now finds himself as a recipient of a termination letter sent by Agnihotri. The first schedule of The Kashmir Files started this week in Mussoorie. The Kashmir Files is a film on Kashmiri Pandit Refugees and the horrifying exodus of the community from their own land, due to an Islamist takeover.
Speaking about Yograj Singh being kicked out of the ambitious and much-needed project, Vivek Agnihotri said, “I had cast Mr Yograj Singh for my film ‘The Kashmir Files’ for a very prominent role and I had long chats with him. I knew that he has a history but I ignored as I generally do not mix art and artiste. I keep artiste and politics away. When he gave the speech it was shocking, and I cannot tolerate someone talking about women. It is just not about Hindu women or Muslim women but he spoke so badly about women and on top of that he tried to create a hateful decisive narrative.”
Informing that a termination letter sacking Yograj had been sent to him, Agnihotri added that he would not care about Singh’s reply to the same. “I make films with a purpose. I make films that expose the truth and I don’t want this person to become part of the truth. Whatever he said, it was hateful and this kind of people just want to create violence,” Agnihotri said in a statement.
Yograj Singh, while joining the bandwagon of ‘influencers’ giving their two bits at the farmers’ protest venue sites, called members of the Hindu community ‘traitors’. Yograj further foul-mouthed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Gujaratis in particular.
“These people would take a U-turn even if they swore on their mothers, sisters, and daughters,” said Yograj whilst referring to Gujaratis. Yograj also made highly derogatory comments for Hindu women. As a result, a furore was observed on social media, with netizens calling for the arrest of the rabid Hindu-hating character.
Yograj Singh being sacked from the cast of upcoming film ‘The Kashmir Files’ is perhaps one of the first consequences in line of greater devastation of the Hindu-hating man’s unappealing career. Such an example must be set for all specimens who consider it a birthright of sorts to spew venom against the Hindu community in India.
