In a major victory for Indian diplomacy, the Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested Khalistani terrorist Sukh Bikriwal at the Delhi airport post his decoration from Dubai.
Sukh Bikriwal who works at the beck and call of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), was under the scanner after a terror module was busted by the Delhi Police special cell leading to the arrest of five persons for the murder of Shaurya Chakra winner Balwinder Singh Sandhu in October. During interrogation, the arrested persons revealed that it was Bikriwal who had ordered the hit on Sandhu.
This revelation saw Indian agencies raid Bikriwal’s properties in Dubai and subsequently detained him.
Sandhu was gunned down on October 16 at his home in Tarn Taran’s Bhikhiwind. Sandhu’s family had termed the murder as a terror attack which happened because of the state government’s earlier decision to revoke Sandhu’s security cover.
Sukh Bikriwal had also played a key role in Punjab’s infamous 2017 Nabha jailbreak incident and has 13 criminal cases registered against him in Punjab while also having links with drug traffickers in Pakistan.
With the help of Bikriwal, the ISI also plotted an attack on Shiv Sena leader Honey Mahajan in Punjab. The shoot which ensued witnessed Mahajan and his neighbour sustain serious injuries with Mahajan managing to survive while his neighbour succumbed to the injuries.
As a part of their nefarious strategy to revive militancy in Punjab, ISI is attempting to target pro-Hindu leaders across Punjab to revive militancy in the state. Earlier in October, an intelligence agency report indicated the same with the ISI approaching Punjab’s gangsters and criminals in the jails to attack pro-Hindu leaders.
It is also being reported that Bikriwal was tasked by the ISI to carry out the assassinations of RSS leaders. The ISI has been using overground workers of Kashmir and local criminals of Punjab to target prominent personalities in Punjab, with the Indian intelligence agencies suspecting that Bikriwal leading the module.
Reportedly, the ISI is also supplying weapons through drones in Punjab in cahoots with the Khalistani terrorists. In October, the Border Security Force and Punjab Police had nabbed various gangs for their role in the smuggling of weapons through drones.
Zee News reports that Indian intelligence agencies have gathered inputs which point towards a nefarious strategy hatched by the ISI to revive the Khalistani movement in Punjab with the help of slain terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s nephew Lakhbir Singh Rode. For the uninitiated Khalistani terrorist Bhindranwale was eliminated by the security forces during Operation Blue Star in Punjab.
The intelligence agencies also believe that pro-Khalistan leader Gopal Singh Chawla, Bhindranwale’s kin Lakhbir Singh Rode and Gurjit Singh Cheema are one of the most “active” handlers of alleged Khalistani terrorists.
The deportation and the subsequent arrest of Bikriwal present a major victory for both the Indian intelligence agencies and Indian diplomacy.
