‘China can’t take even an inch of our land,’ Amit Shah’s message to Beijing

At a time when the modern-day version of Hitler- Chinese President Xi Jinping has warned his troops to be prepared for war amid escalating tensions at the border, Indian Home Minister Amit Shah has stated that not only the Indian Army is prepared for any eventuality, India will never “cede an inch” of its territory to China.

In a hard-hitting interview with Rahul Joshi, Network18 Group Editor-in-Chief, Union Home Minister said, “Every nation is always ready (for war). That’s the purpose of maintaining armies – to respond to any form of aggression. I am not saying this in reference to any particular comments, but India’s defence forces are always ready.”

He added, “I will repeat the words of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We are on guard and no one can snatch even an inch of our territory from us.”

The Union Home Minister further added, “We are vigilant for every inch of our land, no one can take it away… Our defence forces and leadership are capable of defending the country’s sovereignty and border.”

When quizzed upon whether India would rethink its positions on Tibet and Taiwan keeping in mind China’s claims on Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh, Shah said, “It’s not right to discuss this here. It’s a very complex issue with far-reaching implications. Defence minister Rajnath Singh and foreign minister S Jaishankar have cleared India’s position (on China) on Parliament’s floor. I think that’s enough. Talks with China are underway…”

The timing of Shah’s statements holds significance as they come close on the heels of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s warning to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) troops to “prepare for war”.

“Troops should maintain a state of high alert…  Put all (your) minds and energy into preparing for war,” said Xi Jinping according to state news agency Xinhua.

The tyrant then exhorted his troops to be “absolutely loyal, absolutely pure, and absolutely reliable”.

It speaks volumes about the PLA troops and Xi Jinping’s leadership, as he had to exhort his troops to be “absolutely loyal and reliable”. Perhaps, no other democratic leader would have to demand loyalty from the country’s army as loyalty is never demanded, its earned — something that the dictator that Xi Jinping is, will never understand.

Amit Shah has delivered a strong message to Xi Jinping’s war cry with India being armed with an Army whose reputation precedes itself and never had any leader dared to demand loyalty from the Indian Army.
