To counter India, Communist Oli will make another Bhavya Ram Mandir in Nepal. And we aren’t complaining

KP Sharma Oli, the ‘alleged’ Prime Minister of Nepal has done the unimaginable. As a hardcore communist, the man has now given the go-ahead for the construction of a grand Ram Mandir in Nepal! This, in turn, is in complete contestation of the theories propounded by the collective godfather of all Communists – Karl Marx, who was of the impression that religions are mere ‘opium’ for the masses. Yesterday, Oli, despite his busy schedule which revolves around political meetings with Chinese ambassador Hou Yanqi and lying prostrate before the Chinese Communist Party, met a delegation from Madi municipality from the Chitwan district and directed them to make arrangements for a grand Ram Mandir.

KP Sharma Oli has also given the green signal to rename the municipality as ‘Ayodhyapuri’, much on the lines of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh of India. As per the plans, he shall lay the foundation of the grand Ram Mandir on Dussehra this year, and on the Dussehra of 2022, the idols of Bhagwan Ram, Ma Sita and Lakshman will be installed. He told the delegation led by Madi mayor Thakur Prasad Dhakal that they should get down to prepping for Lord Ram’s idol and promote ‘Ayodhyapuri’ as his place of birth.

The ever-so-energetic Prime Minister of Nepal, who of late has delegated all his executive power unto the Chinese wolf warrior – Hou Yanqi- shrouding herself as an ambassador, has made such perceivably anti-India moves for the second time in a month. Less than a month ago, the man had abandoned all sanity to claim that Bhagwan Ram was a Nepali, who was born in southern Nepal’s Ayodhyapuri. He had also remarked that India had wrongfully appropriated Shri Ram’s birthplace to be in Ayodhya of Uttar Pradesh.

Back then, Oli was hammered collectively by the politicians and citizens of Nepal, who could not believe that their Prime Minister would exceed their expectations in making a fool out of himself so brazenly. While many are seeing this step of Oli of constructing a grand Ram Mandir in Nepal as yet another move to drive a wedge between Nepali Hindus and Indian Hindus, we at TFI wholeheartedly welcome the decision because Oli is too small an entity to alter the cultural ties between India and Nepal, and who can be angry about another Bhavya Ram Mandir?

Hindus have struggled for 500 long years to reclaim the Ram Janmbhoomi in Ayodhya, and subsequently build a Mandir on it. Now that the same has been accomplished in India, there is no reason as to why Nepal should not have a grand Ram Mandir as well, given the strong cultural ties between the two countries, and the connect of Shri Ram to Nepal as well. To the people who have been deprived of their deity’s Mandir for five centuries, this step of Oli can be considered as a bumper gift for them to now stare at the prospect of two grand Ram Mandirs being constructed in Shri Ram’s honour.

As for Oli’s unsubstantiated and hilarious claims of Bhagwan Ram being born in Nepal, we have literally not much to say. The man can go on claiming whatever makes his boat afloat. Oli is like an obsessive child, and we do not wish to take away what is perhaps his only joy right now. If he believes Shri Ram was born in Nepal, so be it. Oli has much going against him right now, with Hou Yanqi twisting him now and then. We do not want to become yet another pain for the man.

Condemning the statements made by Oli about Shri Ram and Ayodhya, Acharya Durga Prasad Gautam, the Nepalese priest who performed the Bhoomipooja rituals for the construction of the Ram Mandir on August 5 in Ayodhya, and resident of Oli’s home district, said the whole world knows Lord Ram was born in Ayodhya and absurd statements by Oli will create trouble for the Nepalese people since a lot of them are living in India. “Ram was born in Ayodhya, even children know it. It does not require a certificate from Oli or anyone else,” the priest added.

Due to the political and geopolitical compulsions of KP Sharma Oli, Hindus will now have two grand Ram Mandirs in two ‘Ayodhyas’. From having none only a while ago to now having two, could we have asked for more bliss?
