‘Rhea overdosed Sushant with drugs and Aaditya is connected to the case,’ Bihar govt makes explosive claim in Court

The Bihar government has made some stinging observations against their counterparts from Mumbai, in the country’s top court no less. Calling the ‘investigation’ into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, by Mumbai Police a ‘facade’, Maninder Singh, Senior Advocate appearing on behalf of the Bihar government and the state’s police stated that a load of political pressure on the Maharashtra Police was preventing them from even registering an FIR in the case. The Bihar government, through their counsel in the Supreme Court also made it known that they very much suspected the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s son – Aaditya Thackeray to have been involved in the case.

The revelation was made during the second hearing at the apex court in relation to Rhea Chakraborty’s plea to have Sushant’s father’s FIR transferred from Patna to Mumbai, for reasons best known to the prime accused who has been named by the Bihar Police and CBI, both. Interestingly, Chakraborty wants the FIR transferred to Mumbai as though the transfer would come with an immunity package for her, or she is just intuitively convinced that Maharashtra Police will not act against her.

Maninder Singh, who is appearing on behalf of the Bihar Government claimed in his opening statement that the Patna police’ action on the probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s case is ‘legal’ and ‘bonafide’. Upon being poked by Shyam Divan, Rhea Chakraborty’s legal counsel, over the alleged involvement of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the Bihar police’ investigations, Singh made a sensational statement, which is bound to have a ripple effect for the ruling party of Maharashtra.

“Regarding the Bihar CM playing a role, there is also mention of Maharashtra CM’s son and his involvement in the case. There is a huge political clout pressuring police not to register an FIR,” Maninder Singh said. Singh also added that the political class of Maharashtra was not allowing the registration of an FIR in the case by the Mumbai Police. He accused the Mumbai Police of flamboyantly ignoring all rules and verdicts as it has failed to file an FIR in the Sushant case despite getting the final autopsy report on June 25, which should have been the final day of either closing the case or filing an FIR. As a matter of fact, the Mumbai Police did neither.

For the Bihar government to claim in the Supreme Court of the country that there is involvement of Aaditya Thackeray in the Sushant case is unprecedented, and will only provide steam to the alleged rumour mills which have for the past few days been claiming that junior Thackeray was indeed involved in the case.

Bihar government, in an affidavit filed before the Supreme Court in response to Rhea Chakraborty’s plea for transfer of an FIR, lodged against her in Patna to Mumbai, claimed that the late actor’s live-in-partner overdosed him with drugs and then spread word that he is mentally ill, even resorting to harassment and blackmail against him.

To quote from the affidavit, it is stated, “The petitioner also took his bank account details and started using it according to her wishes. The actor wanted to leave the film industry and do organic farming in Coorg, but the petitioner started blackmailing the actor by saying that she will give his medical report to the media and prove him ‘mad’ after which he will not get any kind of work.” Rhea’s family and relatives too have been accused by the Bihar government of extensively meddling in Sushant ’s life.

Earlier, it had been reported by Times Now that Rhea Chakraborty’s call details record (CDR) has come under CBI’s lens. The call log shows that Chakraborty made multiple calls to an unknown person with the ‘AU’ initial. According to her call records, Rhea Chakraborty received 17 calls from ‘AU’ and made 44 calls to the unknown person. Interestingly, she made a call to ‘AU’ on June 13, a day before Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, and also on June 15, which was a day after.

Social media has ever since been restless, with netizens spinning various theories, and also finding it a rather intriguing coincidence that Aaditya Thackeray goes by initials AU and his Twitter username is @AUThackeray.

Rhea Chakraborty’s father – Indrajit Chakraborty is the Head of Admin Kohinoor Hospitals. The hospital is owned by Manohar Joshi, ex Maharashtra Chief Minister and a prominent Shiv Sena leader, further giving credence to speculations of political, specifically Sena’s involvement in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.

Rhea Chakraborty is also said to have been involved in administering the wrong medication to Sushant Singh Rajput in large quantities, which made the late actor feel ‘claustrophobic’, as per his own admission to his sister. She also kept details of Sushant’s ‘treatment’ from his father. This gives Bihar’s government and police all the more reason to believe that the ‘suicide’ of Sushant Singh Rajput, as the Mumbai Police wants to make it look like, is not just that, rather, there is a high degree of foul play behind the actor’s death.
