The Bihar police team investigating the alleged suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput is so far receiving no cooperation from their counterparts in Mumbai. A four-member team that was dispatched from Patna by the Bihar Police to further investigate the allegations made by Sushant’s father and family in an FIR is allegedly getting a lot of resistance from the Mumbai Police. They are not even offering vehicles for the Bihar Police team to conduct a hassle-free investigation.
Speaking to the same effect, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Sushil Kumar Modi said, “The Mumbai police are deliberately putting obstructions to a fair investigation by Bihar police in Sushant’s case. BJP feels that CBI should take over this case.” Bihar’s Advocate General, Lalit Kishor has also accused the Mumbai Police for not extending any cooperation to the team of Bihar Police, while it has always been a practice that the host state’s police extend all possible assistance to the investigating teams of other states that travel inter-state for various reasons.
As per Bihar’s AG, “If one state’s police go to another state for investigation, both work together. The home state police extend their support in the whole investigation process. But in this case, Mumbai Police is not giving any help or support to the Bihar Police. We only want the investigation to be done transparently. We are acting on the wishes and FIR by Sushant’s father.”
A video is also doing the rounds on social media, in which Mumbai Police officials are allegedly seen pushing Bihar Police officials towards a van. The said video has raised grim questions on the mishandling of the Bihar Police officials by their counterparts in Mumbai. Such is the ghastly behaviour meted out to them that even media persons were forced to call out Mumbai Police officers on the scene.
The incident took place when the team of Bihar Police arrived at the DCP (Crime) office in suburban Andheri to ask for assistance from their counterparts in Mumbai in this matter, an official of the city police said. The visiting team on Friday evening submitted a written application seeking assistance from the Mumbai police in probing the case, he said. When asked about the rough behaviour meted out towards the team from Bihar Police, the official said that since a large number of media persons had gathered at the spot, the Mumbai police personnel took the officers of Bihar police in their vehicle and dropped them at a safe place nearby.
Bihar police are trying to say something but Mumbai police are forcibly removing him
Why Mumbai Police is not co-operating with Bihar Police
Then are they (mumbai police)trying to hide any evidence? Why aren't they being told?

As per some reports, the Bihar Police team has not been given the post-mortem report of Sushant Singh Rajput, even days after their arrival in Mumbai. Further, the case diary and details of all that was seized have also not been shared with the Bihar police team, and neither have they been told as to whether the Mumbai Police found any substantial material on Sushant Singh Rajput’s mobile phone.
Vikas Singh, lawyer of Sushant Singh Rajput’s father K.K Singh has accused the Mumbai Police of protecting Rhea Chakraborty. He said in a statement, “Rhea, who was seeking a CBI probe till a few days ago, has reached the Supreme Court to stop the investigation when an FIR was filed against her in Patna. This shows that the Mumbai Police is helping Rhea.”

Meanwhile, state Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has slammed attacks on Mumbai Police. He said, “The state police and Mumbai police are fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. They are Covid-19 warriors and not to trust them is an insult to them. I would like to tell all Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans that they should trust Mumbai Police and pass on whatever information you have (about the case) to them.
However Sushil Modi has raised questions saying in a tweet, “Uddhav Thackeray is under pressure from the Bollywood mafia patronised by the Congress, therefore he is bent on saving all those responsible in Sushant’s (death) case. How will Congress show its face to people in Bihar.
Sadly, it seems that the Mumbai police is considering the team of Bihar police as one of the ‘outsiders’, and is hence turning the enquiry of the death of Sushant Singh Rajput into a slugfest, not to mention a turf war. It must be remembered that Rhea Chakraborty’s alleged involvement in the case had not even been brought to light for as long as the Bihar Police was not involved in the investigations. The Enforcement Directorate registering a case against Rhea and her family owing to a money laundering angle in the case also brought the actor and her relatives into the spotlight.
