‘His father’s 2nd marriage was not acceptable,’ Shiv Sena is attacking Sushant’s family and it’s pure political suicide

Shiv Sena is looking very desperate

Raising shoddy questions through a maze of sub-standard lies, Shiv-Sena—having already compromised with their ideology almost 10 months back—has hit a new low on Sunday. In the party’s mouthpiece – Saamana, Rajya Sabha MP–the erstwhile nationalistic party’s intellectual ideologue and self-claimed ‘political strategist’–Sanjay Raut wrote an editorial piece comprised of absolute falsities with a pinch of typical toxic Sena’s sub-nationalism and a jar full of baseless insinuations. The party, through its mouthpiece, also took to attacking the bereaved family of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput by hurling ugly accusations on them.

Being the party that they are, the Shiv Sena had brought some sheer derogatory references towards Bihar. Sanjay Raut attempted to ‘remind’ people of how Mumbai gave Sushant Singh Rajput all the success that he had come to enjoy, and how Bihar had no role to play in his journey. “Bihar government should not have interfered in the matter of Sushant Singh Rajput. Over the last few years, Sushant was a Mumbaikar. Mumbai gave him prosperity and Bihar didn’t stand by him during his struggle,” Raut said.

Sanjay Raut, crossing all the limits of decency, also went on to attack Sushant Singh Rajput’s family. Why? Because the bereaved family does not trust the Mumbai Police for the way its investigation is being conducted, and the late actor’s father–taking the matter into his own hands–decided to file an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and her relatives for abetting the suicide of his son. Subsequently, the case was handed over to the CBI after a massive public demand.

This made the Maharashtra government jittery. Therefore, since then, it has taken to personally attack the family with some baseless accusations. Sanjay Raut while displaying his utter shamelessness, passed judgements in temerity about how in his mind, the father-son due, i.e., KK Singh and Sushant Singh did not share a cordial relation. “How many times did Sushant meet his father?” he asked. Sanjay Raut, who has failed rather hilariously at being a political strategist, somehow had the audacity to even suggest that Sushant and his father were “not in good terms”.

What is outrageous, however, is the party’s claim of the late actor’s father being married twice. Sanjay Raut did not stop here with his brazenly fake accusations, but, he also used this to suggest that Sushant Singh Rajput began maintaining distance from his family in Patna due to the same. “His father’s second marriage was not acceptable to him. Let the facts come out as to how many times Rajput visited his family in Patna,” a maniacal Raut said.

The late actor’s family has meanwhile demanded a public apology from Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut for his “totally fake” claims, failing which; legal action would most definitely be initiated against him. Mind you, Raut had also questioned the timing of Sushant’s family getting involved in the case, which was only after 40 days of his death.

What the Shiv Sena fails to realise by making such wildly fake claims, and resorting to personal attacks against a family which is yet to fully cope with their son’s loss, is that it is committing a political suicide. Even the Congress party which is currently an ally of Shiv Sena in Maharashtra has condemned Raut’s remarks against the bereaved family. Sanjay Nirupam said that the Shiv Sena MP is talking in a ‘cheap’ manner about Sushant’s family.

By demeaning Bihar, attacking Sushant Singh’s family and perhaps even allegedly aiding in a bizarre cover-up of the reality surrounding his death, the Shiv Sena is taking an irreversibly disastrous position on the matter. The entire nation is vociferously demanding justice for Sushant, and there prevails an overall national consensus that the Maharashtra establishment is not letting the whole truth be uncovered. By acting against the will of Indians, the rather immature Shiv Sena is digging its own political grave and writing the epitaph for itself.
