KP Sharma Oli is finding new ways almost every day to make a regional clown of himself, and has more than the Prime Minister of Nepal, committed himself to be a source of entertainment for Indians. What began with an illegal claiming of Indian territories of Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura has now spiralled into the Nepalese Prime Minister uttering just about anything. The most recent addition to KP Sharma Oli’s unsubstantiated claims is his assertion that Bhagwan Ram was a Nepali, and his birthplace – Ayodhya, is actually being located in Nepal, near Kathmandu. While Indians do not take statements by the Chinese puppet as worthy of serious rebuttals, Oli’s own constituents are furious nonetheless.

KP Sharma Oli today stands discredited within his country, courtesy one stupid statement. Whether it be the Opposition in Nepal, or Oli’s own Communist party, or ordinary Nepalese citizens, close to nobody is impressed with his foolish statement on Shri Ram being a Nepali.

The Nepali Congress, currently sitting in opposition, on Wednesday strongly condemned Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s controversial statements on Ayodhya and said that he has “lost the moral and political basis” to rule the country. Spokesperson of the Nepali Congress further stated that his party “strongly disagrees with the Prime Minister’s recent statements and behaviour.”

“Prime Minister Oli has forgotten the practices, Constitution and sensitivity and running the government on his personal whim,” Bishwo Prakash Sharma of the Nepali Congress said in the statement. Meanwhile, the opposition is not alone in fighting Oli for his perceivably stupid comments. His own party, as is a known fact, has risen in revolt against Oli, and China, via its Ambassador Hou Yanqi, is saving Oli’s government repeatedly.

“Such senseless and irrelevant remarks made by a person of high position will damage the country’s prestige,” said Bishnu Rijal, deputy chief of the Publicity Committee of Nepal’s current ruling Communist party, effectively signalling that the Prime Minister has fallen to the Chinese, which is why it is becoming increasingly difficult for even his own party to stand by him.

On the streets, Hindu youths and Sadhus staged an anti-government rally in Janakpur, the birthplace of Sita Ma, protesting against Oli’s remarks on Ayodhya. They shouted anti-Oli slogans and asked the Prime Minister to withdraw his statement, PTI reported. Mithilesh Jha, chairman of the Hindu Parishad Nepal said that Oli’s statement has hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus around the world. Similarly, Ramnandiya Vaishnavi Sangh also opposed Oli’s remarks. The Prime Minister’s statement has hurt the age-old relationship between Nepal and India, the organization said.

KP Sharma Oli is trying to fan a reverse anti-Hindu nationalism wave in Nepal, and that mandates him  destroying relations with India, and portraying India as an aggressor, as well as an oppressor, which has historically taken what rightfully belonged to Nepal. The people of Nepal, however, are in no mood to let Oli succeed in his mission of cutting ties between their culturally Hindu nation and India. With his statement on Shri Ram, Oli has only furthered the process of getting himself discredited within Nepal. People who for so long were in two minds as to whether Oli is an actual Chinese pawn, are now absolutely convinced that Xi Jinping is the man governing Nepal, along with Hou Yanqi, and her friend, KP Sharma Oli.

The Nepal Communist Party is in any case on the verge of a blow-up, with close to nobody favouring a continuation of Oli’s Prime Ministership. Oli’s recent statements are going to serve as not more than final nails in his own political coffin.
