Kangana Ranaut has never feared anyone from Bollywood, no matter how powerful they are. In an explosive interview with Republic TV Editor Arnab Goswami, Kangana has taken Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhatt, and all the bigwigs to the cleaners as she completely exposed the rot that is eating away Bollywood.
In a no-holds-barred interview with Arnab, Kangana addressed the elephant in the room and talked about the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. In a shocking revelation, Kangana claimed that the Bollywood veterans told her that she will ‘commit suicide’ and have a ‘tragic end.’ She labelled those veterans as ‘suicide gang’. Kangana stressed that Sushant’s death was a ‘murder’ as the ‘movie mafia’ pushed Sushant to take the extreme step as the ‘mafia’ sabotaged the late actor’s career.
She said, “I call it murder because I do feel abetment of suicide. According to section 306, it is as much of a criminal offense as physically killing one person. So for me, from day 1, I’ve been calling it murder.”
Much has been written about how Mahesh Bhatt represents the worst of the Bollywood as he is not just a creep but also a radical Islamist and an ardent follower of Zakir Naik. Kangana, in her previous videos, had repeatedly taken on Mahesh Bhatt and Kangana again questioned what the need was for Mahesh Bhatt to interfere and counsel Sushant over his relationship with Rhea Chakraborty.
She said, “Sushant’s girlfriend at the time Rhea in her statement mentioned Mahesh Bhatt. How is he related? Bhatt’s first AD has written how Bhatt used to counsel him. Who was Mahesh Bhatt in Sushant’s life?.”
Bhatt stirred a hornet’s nest as he claimed that he knew Sushant would end up like Parveen Babi. To this Kangana said, “What gives these people the license to say things like ‘Your end is near’ for artists? If they knew Sushant wasn’t feeling well, why didn’t they call his father and tell that your son is not well?”
Kangana had to dearly pay the price for challenging Bollywood’s cabal most notably, Karan Johar which resulted in a plethora of brands dropping her and making her think of disappearing into oblivion.
Kangana said, “18 brands dropped me within 2 months. Maybe I didn’t have the thought of killing myself but definitely shaving my head off and disappearing. My relatives didn’t let their children meet me because you turned me into a nymphomaniac. Called me so many things in public. As a girl, having a marriage and a child is no more an option for me. They turned Sushant also into a rapist. How will he go back to Bihar? Small cities don’t value money, they value respect.
Sushant was also embroiled in a fake MeToo story most likely planted by the Bolllywood cabal during the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Dil Bechaara’. Sushant had to post the screenshots of his private chat with Sanjana Sanghi to prove his innocence.
Mincing no words, the Manikarnika actress criticised the Mumbai Police for only summoning the likes of Shekhar Kapur and Sanjay Leela Bhansali and not the powerful big four.
Kangana said, “I am not saying that anyone wanted Sushant to die, but definitely doomed. These people are emotional vultures. They want to see people lynch themselves. Why is Mumbai Police not summoning the ‘powerful four’?”
The three-time national award winner then took on Aditya Chopra as she accused him of preventing Sushant to work out of the YRF banner.
“Their contracts are ‘evil’, you can’t do anything without their permission. Bhansali wanted him for Ram-Leela, but Aditya Chopra did not allow him to do the film, so he made Ranveer Singh do the film. Bhansali has not chased any actor for five years, he wanted him for Bajirao Mastani, again Aditya Chopra did not let him do the film, reason best known to him, why because Sushant did not know how to do ‘chaplusi’ (sycophancy). They sabotaged his career,” she said.
Kangana further added, “YRF talent agency had been handling his work and prevented him from working with other directors and instead promised him a movie with a big director (Shekhar Kapur). That film was cancelled too. When Sushant rebuked and claimed autonomy over his career, they had a big showdown and Aditya Chopra told him that no one will work with you
Kangana narrated her own ordeal of how she bruised Aditya Chopra’s ego after she refused Sultan. Aditya Chopra didn’t take the rejection kindly and told Kangana that she is finished.
Kangana also alleged that childhood friends Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra conspired to finish Sushant’s career after the success of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. Kangana accused Karan Johar of strategically entering the situation and casting him for ‘Drive’ which had a Netflix release.
Kangana said, “How is it possible that after delivering a blockbuster, you are not getting buyers for Sushant?. Now, last year his film Chhichhore came out, how many of us know that it was a bigger hit than Gully Boy? While Gully Boy just made even its profits, Chhichhore was a blockbuster. But there was no acknowledgment for him. For a mediocre film, they are celebrating Alia and Zoya.”
Importantly, Kangana stated that she was ready to return her Padma Shri if she could not prove her claims in Sushant’s case. Surprisingly, she has been appreciated by Simi Garewal herself for her bravery.
