‘What is the need for such low level politics?’ Congress MLA from Raebareli Aditi Singh slams Priyanka Vadra

Rebel Congress MLA from Raebareli Aditi Singh has lambasted Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for engaging in vendetta politics amidst a global pandemic. Terming Priyanka Vadra’s contentious claims as a ‘cruel joke’ on the migrants, Aditi Singh said most of the buses that were supposed to be sent for the migrant laborers were small and in dilapidated conditions and therefore making such frivolous statements was totally uncalled for, given the global crisis we are in.

In a series of tweets, the MLA came down heavily on the Indira Gandhi lookalike. “What is the need for such low level of politics at the time of a disaster. A list of one 1,000 buses was sent and more than half of the registration numbers were fake, 297 were junk buses, 98 were autorickshaws, and vehicles like ambulance, 68 vehicles were without any papers. What cruel joke is this?” she tweeted.

Aditi further tore into Priyanka’s highly blasphemous claims by questioning, “If there were buses then why did you not send them to Rajasthan, Punjab, and Maharashtra?”

While there is a swarm of bootlickers in Congress and a dearth of sane voices, Aditi has time and again stood out as the latter. When the article 370 was abrogated in Jammu & Kashmir last year, Aditi had said she was in absolute support of the decision to scrap special status that was given to Jammu and Kashmir.

Essentially, it runs in the Congress clan—the superhuman ability to embarrass oneself and the party, all in one single stroke.

It started with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra beating her own trumpet to garner political points by shooting a letter to UP CM Yogi Adityanath saying she has 1000 buses waiting in the wings to ferry the migrant workers home.

However when Yogi called out Mrs. Vadra’s bluff by accepting her proposal. Congress was left running from pillar to post—scurrying around to secure the one thousand buses.

After many attempts, the partial list of ‘buses’ that was sent to the Yogi administration by Priyanka, in fact, contained registration numbers of scooters, private vehicles, auto-rickshaws, and blacklisted buses.

In the preliminary checking of the numbers, it has been found that the numbers mentioned in the list as that of buses are actually of scooters, three-wheelers and goods carriers,” state minister Sidharth Nath Singh had said.

At a time when the nation faces an unprecedented crisis, abhorrent Congress and Priyanka Vadra tried to seize the opportunity to portray herself, and her party, as the messiah of those facing the brunt of a nationwide lockdown.

However, the hollow maneuver has boomeranged badly and the party is running around to save its face. The incident gives a cold-reminder that for Congress even one of the biggest crises mankind has ever faced in its history cannot stop it from indulging in petty politics.

Walking in the footsteps of her brother Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Vadra is losing whatever little credibility she had left.
