In yet another sign of low the Indian National Congress can stoop to protect the Gandhi family, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and a staunch loyalist of the party’s apex family, has sent a bill of Rs 36 lakhs to the Uttar Pradesh government perhaps to avenge the utter humiliation of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra by the Yogi Adityanath government.
The UP government has been helping the young students trapped in Kota amidst the lockdown to return to their respective homes in the state. In April, the UP government helped 9,000 students return to their native places in the state and hence, had sent 560 buses to Kota for the students to return home. However, it turned out that there are way more students and the buses were falling short to accommodate all the students. Hence, the UP government rented 70 buses from Rajasthan and also paid the fuel charges which amounted to Rs 19.76 lakhs.
In a shocking move, which exposes the Congress’ true character, the Ashok Gehlot government sent a bill of Rs 36 Lakhs for the rented buses as the war of words escalate between the two state governments in the backdrop of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s attempt of playing politics over the plight of migrants. The UP government has slammed the move as “inhumane” which exposed the grand old party’s “double standards”.
This move by the Rajasthan government came after the Indian National Congress faced a huge embarrassment after Yogi Adityanath managed to expose the tomfoolery of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Priyanka tried to score some brownie points as she claimed to have 1000 buses waiting for CM Yogi’s permission to run.
Much to the surprise of Priyanka, the Yogi government accepted the Congress party’s offer to run buses across UP to ferry migrant workers to their destinations. This acceptance, however, came with certain riders. Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Awanish Awasthi communicated to Priyanka Vadra’s personal secretary that her proposal had been accepted by the government. In the letter of acceptance, much to the dismay of the Congress party, the Yogi government sought immediate details of the 1000 buses which Priyanka Gandhi Vadra claimed to have at her disposal, and has also asked for the names of each bus driver and conductor.
As Yogi Adityanath called her bluff, the skeletons started coming out of the closet as it turned out Priyanka Vadra’s Congress has arranged buses from Rajasthan’s State Transport Department.
In what has now come as an embarrassment of epic proportions for the Congress party, the partial list of ‘buses’ handed over to the government contains blacklisted vehicles and buses which are off the roads for a multiplicity of reasons. The list also includes Autorickshaws and personal vehicles. From the partial list sent to the government by the Congress, it was found the details of certain vehicles from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways website, which exposed the abject lies of Priyanka Gandhi as some of these vehicles have turned out to be Auto-rickshaws and scooters!
Even Congress MLA from Rai Bareilly, Aditi Singh slammed Priyanka Vadra as in a series of tweets she said, “What is the need for such low level of politics at the time of a disaster. A list of one 1,000 buses was sent and more than half of the registration numbers were fake, 297 were junk buses, 98 were Autorickshaws, and vehicles like ambulance, 68 vehicles were without any papers. What cruel joke is this?”
Aditi further tore into Priyanka’s highly blasphemous claims by questioning, “If there were buses then why did you not send them to Rajasthan, Punjab, and Maharashtra?”
It will not be far-fetched to say that the apex family of the Congress deployed its foot soldier Gehlot to take revenge on the UP government for causing such a massive embarrassment. The Rajasthan government asked the UP government to pay the bill of Rs 36 lakhs without any delay with the bill being cleared by the Yogi Adityanath government earlier today.
Gehlot has shown how a classic foot solider of the Gandhi family acts in a time crisis. Earlier this month, when the Bihar government offered to pay the Haryana government for helping the state’s migrants reach their native place in Bihar, the request was promptly denied by the Khattar government as it stressed that we are one team in this unprecedented times and there was no need to pay for helping the migrants reach Bihar.
