Even as the major world powers, including the USA, European Union, among others are vowing to look into the origins of the SARS-COV-2 virus strain which has triggered a global COVID-19 pandemic, a mysterious homicide case has been reported from Pennsylvania, USA, triggering massive speculation on social media.
Dr. Bing Liu, a Chinese researcher and an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh was found dead at his house in Ross Township. He suffered multiple gun shots, including on the head and torso, leading to his death. Incidentally, the killer was one Hao Gu, another Chinese man, who police says killed himself in his car after having shot the researcher.
Dr. Bing Liu was extensively researching Coronavirus, particularly the current virus strain which has ravaged the world and caused close to 265,000 deaths. He was said to have made path breaking discoveries regarding the same, and his department also said that he had just begun making some very interesting observations.
“Bing was on the verge of making very significant findings toward understanding the cellular mechanisms that underlie SARS-CoV-2 infection and the cellular basis of the following complications,” the statement released by the Pitt Department of Computational and System Biology said. The Head of Department, Ivet Bahar, further added, “He was just starting to obtain interesting results.”
The Police have meanwhile ruled out the possibility of the researcher being killed due to his professional persuasions or research work. However, they have not put forward any concrete evidence to suggest that this was not indeed the case, and have instead said that Hao Gu killed the professor only due to a tussle between the two for a common “intimate partner”.
Social media is rife with speculation. While the Chinese social media is claiming that the researcher was about to find incriminating evidence against the United States’ involvement in initiating the global pandemic, the odds are heavily stacked against China.
A man killing a fellow Chinese professor, who was on the verge of finding path breaking results via his research on SARS-COV-2, reeks of a brazen attempt to silence a potential whistle-blower by the Chinesae state. Whistleblowers are usually silenced in China, as we have seen in the case of Dr. Li Wenliang, who was relentless harassed, and perhaps, even killed, for trying to spread awareness regarding the disease.
However, if the CCP has now managed to muzzle the voice of a potential whistleblower in the United States, the world must take immediate note and reign fire on the dragon for their brazen trespasses internationally and violation of human rights, only to save themselves the embarrassment of being exposed.
Of course, this is all speculation, but with China, nothing can be ruled out. Besides, many across the world, including the USA, EU and Australia are looking to probe the origins of this virus strain. China, meanwhile, is deploying every dirty tactic at their disposal to ensure that no probes are undertaken against them, a move which explicitly is indicative of criminality and guilt.
Further, the CCP is also using its parrots across the world, which include the likes of WHO and a section of the media for furthering brazen propaganda, usually to the effect that the audiences of the same start believing that China had nothing to do with the virus going rogue, which is highly unlikely.
TFI had recently reported how the five eyes, i.e., US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand had managed to make a damning case against China for effectively pushing the world into the position that it today is in. The leaked 15-page dossier from the Five Eyes called China’s secrecy an ‘assault on international transparency’.
In a finding that will have widespread ramifications for China, the intelligence group has unearthed evidence that points to the origin of the virus in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Further, the leaked dossier goes on to hammer China for covering up on a variety of subjects relating to the virus strain and disease, including the fact that the CCP, along with its proxies around the world, lied about COVID-19 not spreading due to human-to-human transmission. It also condemned China for silencing whistleblowers within.
In the backdrop of such developments, China has perhaps gone desperately rogue, and that can explain the mysterious killing of a Chinese researcher who was perhaps on the verge of incriminating the communist state like never before.
