Virus Rebels among western youth are dancing and partying their way to death

youth, western, wuhan virus, virus rebels,

Countries across the world are going into a lockdown to battle the Wuhan virus while largely, people in India are adhering to the curfew, it seems that the Western youth are having a kick by becoming ‘virus rebels’ and partying to their death and threatening the elderly. As if attempting to contain the Wuhan virus wasn’t enough, from the USA to France to Germany and Australia, all the countries are facing a unique rebellion from the ‘virus rebels’ as they continue to defy confinement and party as if nothing has happened.

It has been observed that the virus rebels tend to range from restless teens to wealthy adults who can travel to their vacation homes and going by the numbers, New York is all set to emerge as the new hotspot for the Wuhan virus as the US scrambles to contain the virus. But that hasn’t stopped people from congregating in New York City’s vast city park network as people are increasingly not complying with social distancing.

There is a belief that the virus is less effective on the young and healthy, hence many are defying the calls for confinement. While it might be true in the case of Italy where people with the age of over 60 have been affected the most with the virus, whereas in New York, people from 18-to-49 account for more than half of the state’s coronavirus cases.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo warned those defying the social distancing recommendations, “you’re not Superman, and you’re not Superwoman.” He further added, “You can wind up hurting someone who you love, or hurting someone wholly inadvertently. Social distancing works, and you need social distancing everywhere.”

The youth in Florida has managed to cause havoc in the state as on Sunday, Florida’s most famous beaches registered over 13,000 people who were mostly college-goers. This prompted the authorities to close the state’s most popular beaches.

Spain has currently the highest cases of the Wuhan virus in Europe after Italy which has prompted the nation to go into a lockdown. However, Spanish citizens are light years ahead from everyone and have managed to come out with unique ideas that help them escape the rules of social confinement.

There is a pet walking exception in Spain where the owners can take their pets for brief walks. The Spanish authorities were stunned when a person was seen venturing outside in a full-body dinosaur costume. This incident prompted the Spanish police to tweet the video of the person as they reiterated that while pets can be taken for brief walks by owners however, “having a Tyrannosaurus Rex complex is not” allowed.

In Catalonia, a person was seen walking a goat on a leash to make a mockery of the pet exception rule. Such events have resulted in the country’s police to use helicopters to spot the congregation of people and subsequently, agents are sent to ensure that the group breaks apart.

In Germany, young adults are holding “corona parties” and to mock the elderly, are coughing towards them. The Mayor of the state of Bavaria, Gov. Markus Soeder rued that “there are still corona parties, there are young people who cough at older people and shout corona for fun and, above all, there are an incredible number of groups being formed.”

In the United Kingdom, recently three youths were arrested for coughing on the faces of an elderly couple. The three males aged 16, 18 and 19 also had an altercation with the couple which left a septuagenarian women with a black eye.

In France, the authorities are fed up as people are refusing to stay at home. The country has sent security forces into railway stations to prevent people from travelling to their getaway homes as they would emerge as the potential carriers of the Wuhan virus to the countryside where the medical facilities are scarce to tackle the virus.

Such is the delusion of people in France with the local authorities that recently a large crowd threatened to spit on officers who had planned to disperse them in Lyon and the crowd forced the officers to leave.

Over 1,00,000 security personnel are manning the French streets and issuing fines to those who are venturing out needlessly. In the last five days, more than 1.7 million checks were carried out by the security personnel with more than 22,500 people being fined.

“Some consider they’re little heroes when they break the rules,” French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said. “Well, no. You’re an imbecile, and especially a threat to yourself.”

Australia, which is still grappling with the fallout of the bushfires that is said to have killed more than 400 people in the country, tried to enforce social distancing on being hit by the novel Wuhan virus with Prime Minister Scott Morrison addressing the nation.

However, the fervent appeal by the authorities for social distancing have not been obliged as thousands of people huddled closely on the country’s beaches. Sydney’s main beaches including the Bondi Beach, which grabbed eyeballs after Sydneysiders flocked together in large numbers on the Beach this Saturday amidst the Coronavirus scare, ignoring public health warnings.

The stupidity displayed by the Western youth is unparalleled and by being “virus rebels” they are inviting their own death.
