‘Take paracetamol to cure Coronavirus,’ Jagan Reddy’s quackery reminds that he is the silliest, most confused CM ever

Andhra Pradesh CM Jaganmohan Reddy is coming out as one of the stupidest and senseless leaders from any state. In the last 9 months, Jagan’s policies have created a complete ruckus in the state. Constant flip flops in education, economic, industrial, and urban policies have created a complete chaos in the state.

On the outbreak of Coronavirus, Reddy said that there is no need to panic. He said that apply bleaching powder for a few hours on the things used by Coronavirus suspected and this would kill the deadly virus. He argued that the patients should use Paracetamol medicine to improve the condition and said that many cases have already been cured by paracetamol.

Such non-serious, unnecessary, and unscientific definitely do not suit the CM of one of the largest states of the country which has registered very good performance on educational metrics.

It has been less than 9 months since Reddy government came to power and within this short time span, he has already either implemented many controversial decisions or initiated them.

He decided to change the medium of instruction in government school from native Telugu to English, and there was huge furore in the state over the matter. Given the fact that Telugu people are very proud of their language and it is one of the languages spoken by a large number of people, the decision created huge backlash.

After that, Reddy stroked a massive controversy by renaming an award scheme named after former President of India, late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, and replacing it with his father, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s name.

The state education department had issued an order to the effect that ‘Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Pratibha Vidya Puraskar Awards’, would henceforth be known as ‘YSR Vidya Puraskar’. However, he revoked the decision after massive protest.

Reddy also decided to scrap the Legislative Council, the upper house of the state. The Legislative Council, where Chandrababu Naidu’s party, TDP, has majority, rejected many bills passed by YSRCP government including the one related to change the medium of instruction to English in government schools, and this has rattled Reddy, who decided to scrap the Council altogether.

The Jagan Reddy government has also crossed all levels of minority appeasement and increased the salary of Imams and pastors. “The honorarium to Imams is proposed to be enhanced to Rs 10,000 per month and of Mouzzans to Rs. 5,000 per month. Similarly, it is proposed to provide Pastors with an honorarium Rs. 5,000 per month,” said the finance minister of Andhra Pradesh in the budget speech.

He also came under fire for extravagant state expenditure over Jagan Reddy and his family’s private visit to Jerusalem in Israel. BJP leader, Lanka Dinakar, has come down heavily on the Andhra Pradesh government for releasing funds to the tune of Rs 22.52 lakh on chief minister’s security on the four-day visit.

A few weeks ago, it was reported that Kia Motors Corporation, a South Korean automobile major, is mulling over the idea to shift its Andhra Pradesh plant to Tamil Nadu given its unresolved issues with the new policies of the Jagan government.

The major issue with the Andhra’s state policy is the newly passed act which reserves 75 per cent reservation to locals in the jobs in companies in the state. The Reddy government also decided to review the financial incentives offered to the company like breaks in electricity tax and deferred land payments.

Jagan has also scrapped the plan to making Amravati state capital and instead decided to have three capitals, like South Korea. The plan was scrapped just because if Amravati had been completed, the credit for the project would have gone to Naidu.

Jagan is working a stupid and vengeful manner, and this is harming the people of the state. The poor people, industrialists, students, and teachers- none are happy with the Jagan government and the people of the state are feeling sorry for voting YSRCP.
