Fake news giant NDTV tries to pass off a broker as Kapil Mishra’s landlord in order to blame him for Delhi riots

In yet another foot in the mouth moment for NDTV, the infamous channel has been once again caught red-handed spreading fake news. At a time when one Shahrukh Khan has been caught firing eight rounds with his pistol on Delhi Police and AAP Corporator Tahir Hussain has been arrested over charges in connection with the gruesome murder of IB staffer Ankit Sharma, the leftist propaganda machinery wants to shift the entire blame onto Kapil Mishra- who had demanded the protesters to clear occupied roads. They feel Kapil Mishra, not Tahir Hussain or Shahrukh Khan are responsible for what transpired in Northeast Delhi.

As a part of this larger conspiracy against Kapil Mishra, detestable NDTV journalist Sreenivasan Jain interviewed one Sanjay Gupta, who was actually a broker in a property transaction involving Kapil Mishra. The fake news giant, NDTV tried to pass off Gupta as Kapil Mishra’s landlord.

In an interview that seems more like a staged interview with a planted individual, NDTV tries to give credence to the myth that riots took off in the area only after Kapil Mishra’s so-called hate speech.

However, it did not take long before this sham of an interview got called out on social media. BJP leader Kapil Mishra himself exposed the fake news factory of the left-liberals and tweeted, “Dear @ndtv – STOP showing fake news against me NDTV picked a random guy from the road and showing him as my landlord This guy is not my landlord. It’s a fake news.” Mishra further took a dig at NDTV over how the channel was involved in passing off Shahrukh Khan, the man caught shooting at Delhi Police as a Hindu, Anurag Mishra.

The idea of interviewing a landlord in order to decide upon the culpability of Kapil Mishra is as bizarre as blaming him for the entire turmoil itself. Moreover, the clarification given by NDTV is rather flimsy. The media outlet tweeted, “Clarification: Sanjay Gupta gave NDTV the impression he was Kapil Mishra’s landlord. On crosschecking, it appears that he’s not the landlord, but acted as a broker/witness for Mr Mishra in at least 2 property dealings. Here are screenshots of his signature, alongside Mr Mishra’s.”

One cannot help but wonder how NDTV can even think of finding a scapegoat in Sanjay Gupta. Isn’t it highly absurd on part of a media channel to go on a rampage tarnishing the image of an individual even without making an effort to verifying the source of its information?

Why does NDTV feel that it has the privilege of deliberately spreading fake news and shifting the blame onto someone else when it gets called out? Not everyone will read their clarifications, which are obviously not given the kind of space that fake news enjoys on the propagandist channel. Such fake news already do the intended damage which cannot be undone by shoddy excuses and clarifications.

NDTV’s fake news on Kapil Mishra therefore reaffirms the channel’s image as a fake news factory and propagandist machinery.
