“His campaigning should be banned”, AAP afraid of Yogi, demands campaign ban on UP CM in Delhi

The entry of Uttar Pradesh CM, Yogi Adityanath in Delhi Assembly poll campaign seems to be profoundly hurting the electoral prospects of the Kejriwal led party.

Yogi Adityanath who is not mincing any words has launched a ferocious attack at the AAP over its vote bank politics.

Yogi was able to hit the AAP where it hurts the most- Shaheen Bagh protests. He said“The BJP is working with zero tolerance towards terrorism. But Kejriwal is busy with sponsoring and offering biryani in Shaheen Bagh.”

Yogi did not stop here, and also said that the real reason behind the Shaheen Bagh protests was agony caused by Article 370 abrogation and construction of a grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

He stated, “When provisions of Article 370 were scrapped, pain was felt in Pakistan and by Arvind Kejriwal.” During one of his campaign speeches, he also said, “Earlier, stone pelters would take money from Pakistan and damage public property (in Kashmir). Kejriwal’s party and Congress used to support them. But that stopped after scrapping of its special status.”

Yogi’s speeches at all the rallies that he were held thus far have been based on similar arguments, something that ends up exposing AAP and putting it in a very tight spot, particularly in reference with the Shaheen Bagh protests.

The Kejriwal led party is now clearly on the backfoot and has demanded a ban on poll campaigning by the Uttar Pradesh CM In Delhi. In fact, AAP leader, Sanjay Singh suffered a major meltdown and said, “Yogi Adityanath (UP CM) says Kejriwal has links to Pakistan, Yogi should be arrested, jailed and should be asked to provide proof for his claims. Election Commission (EC) is silent on all this, his campaigning should be banned in Delhi.”

AAP, which has been hindering the sanction to prosecute Kanhaiya Kumar in a sedition case, is today demanding the arrest of a Chief Minister merely because he has spoken his mind and has put the party in a very embarrassing position. With such outlandish demands, it is clear that the AAP has been clearly rattled by Yogi’s entry in Delhi poll campaign.

Ever since, the anti CAA violence came into limelight in Delhi, clear connections of protestors with AAP leaders came to surface. As far as Shaheen Bagh is concerned, the party has now made it clear that it stands with the protests that has caused a massive road block.

The AAP wanted to grab a healthy share of the Muslim vote by supporting wrongful protests and fear mongering about the CAA and NRC. But with Yogi’s entry, the party has realised that supporting Shaheen Bagh protests has backfired badly. This is why a rattled AAP, which fears Yogi terribly, is now trying to arm-twist the Election Commission into imposing a campaign ban on the Uttar Pradesh CM.
