Pilgrimage cancelled, temple lands to be sold: Why Kamal Nath regime is a nightmare for Hindus of Madhya Pradesh

Shame on you Kamal Nath

Kamal Nath is working to ensure that each working day of his as Chief Minister is used to hurt the sentiments of Hindus, and he is also dedicated to making repeated anti-Hindu decisions in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

A man accused of leading blood-thirsty mobs in Delhi during the 1984 Sikh genocide is now hurting Hindus too, not physically (as of now), but psychologically. Perhaps a convincing reason for the Gandhi’s to drop him as the Chief Minister of MP was his hatred for Hindus. Kamal Nath is all set to outshine Digvijay Singh in his disgust for today’s Hindus. As CM, Digvijay Singh took no anti-Hindu decisions, and his ‘Hindu terror’ bogey came in only after he entered the national scene. Kamal Nath, on the other hand, is not wasting a single wakeful moment to hold back.

On 12th February, Kamal Nath government issued an order cancelling the pilgrimage of over 4000 old age residents without providing any solid reasons for the same. The ‘Mukhya Mantri Teerath Darshan Yojna” launched in 2012 by Shivraj Singh Chauhan provides for free pilgrimage of elders to Mata Vaishno Devi, Dwarka, Rameshwaram and Kashi. It must be noted that the cancellation came just three days before the first train was to leave with 800 pilgrims. The order issued by the spiritual department of the MP government on February 12th states, “The programme regarding five teerth darshan trains under Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojna scheduled from February 15 to March 2, is cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances.” Minister for spiritual and public relations in MP government PC Sharma said the reasons for the cancellation were “technical”.

The political atmosphere in Madhya Pradesh further heated up after a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj installed last Monday at Mohgaon crossing in Sausar town by a youth organization was removed by the local civic body the next day. Visuals of the demolition by a JCB infuriated the entire nation, as such an insult to the Great Shivaji was allowed in Kamal Nath’s MP. To then cover-up his folly, Nath fielded his son, Nakul to face the media. “At Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s instructions a life-size statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharajji will be installed at Mohgaon triangular crossing with a grand function. The entire expenses will be borne by me,” he said. To this, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that nobody needed Nakul Nath’s money for the statue, and that admirers of Shivaji Maharaj were sufficient to erect a statue at the same spot.

If these acts weren’t already enough, the Kamal Nath government is now all set to sell off Temple lands to builders! These builders would be able to build flats, apartments, shopping complexes, etc on the sold off land. The proceeds of the sale would go to the Temple, the state government and district bodies. The excuse being given for this move is that temple lands are being usurped illegally by individuals, and in order to prevent the same, the land needs to be sold. However if that was the case, why should the state government be a beneficiary of the proceeds coming from the sale of the land? This is nothing but an attempt to undermine Hindus and prove his government’s muscle-power over temples.

Hindu Utsav Samiti and BJP workers last month took out a procession at Ashta town in Sehore district alleging that the administration asked the management committee of an old Lord Shiva temple to remove the loudspeakers to avoid facing legal action and seizure of the loudspeaker. Had similar orders been issued for all religious places, the situation might have been different. However, the singular targeting of a Shiv temple raises questions of malafide intentions behind the move.

Not only is Kamal Nath against the Hindus and Sikhs of India, but also Jains, Christians and Buddhists, as his cabinet on 5th February passed an anti-CAA resolution, thereby proving how insensitive the Kamal Nath government is towards minorities in the three neighbouring Islamic nations.

The instances shared above make it clear that Kamal Nath does not have the best interests of Hindus at heart, and is rather venting out some cruel grudge he must be having against the community, by misusing his post of Chief Minister.
