The leftist cabal has been trying to twist the narrative around the CAA ever since the historic Amendment came into picture. Yesterday, it again found ammunition in the Jamia shooting incident.
In a video of the incident that went viral, a man, who has now claimed to be a minor, can be seen waving his country made pistol, even as a barrage of media-persons and cameramen follow him closely and relish a perfect video shoot that would later go into wide circulation, including in Foreign media so as to grant a new lease of life to the anti CAA agitations.

The incident has taken place at a time when the vested interests can make the best use out of it. Delhi Assembly polls are around the corner and there is every possible attempt to blow the incident out of proportions.
The Western Media which has been pursuing an anti-India agenda has also made full use of the opportunity to further their vicious anti-India agenda. Outlets like Huffpost and Washington Post, which have been trying to tarnish India’s image over the CAA, now see an opportunity in the shooting incident.
What however remains beyond comprehension is why the Delhi Police remained a spectator and initiated action after the local mainstream media found an opportunity to take perfect video and photos shoots of the incident.
From the video that has gone viral, it is clear that first the miscreant waved his country made gun and then took his time to get into position before he fired at an anti-CAA rally, injuring a Jamia student.
The Delhi Police personnel present at the site of shooting however did not stop him right away. Later, a policeman strolled casually towards the man, who continued to brandish his country-made pistol.
By the time he was overpowered, enough arsenal had already been accumulated by the anti-CAA lobby.
Over the last one month, we have seen how there were showdowns with the Delhi Police across the city. Though the Western Media, in particular, was baying for blood, the Delhi Police reined in violent hooligans and arsonists every single time.
Even when JNU and Jamia Milia Islamia University became centres of anti CAA violence, the Delhi Police didn’t shy away from restoring public order in the Central Universities. One can only wonder why the Delhi Police showed laxity this time around.
The police personnel could have overpowered him then and there, before he got into position to shoot at the anti CAA rally or they could have even shot him under the knees in order manage the situation.
A lot of misinformation has been doing the rounds about the CAA, with the sole motive of tarnishing the image of Modi government. Delhi Police has also been a major target of the media outlets and the entire leftist ecosystem, and this should have been kept in mind while dealing with the Jamia shooting incident.
This incident actually dents the image of Delhi Police in more ways than one. Delhi being the Capital of the country, the police cannot allow such incidents to happen. The police personnel can be seen standing as mute spectators even as the man brandishing the country made pistol goes ahead with his plans. This scene is bad PR for any capital city, especially the capital of an emerging power like India.
Recently, the Delhi Police had shown a lot of fighting spirit after a bitter clash between lawyers and police personnel in the National Capital. However, the present incident makes the Delhi Police look rather lax and inactive.
Imagine something like this happening in a city, say like London and the Metropolitan Police failing to rein in the miscreant. Such incidents are a blot on the image of any big capital city, and Delhi doesn’t really deserve such a blot on its reputation.
The Jamia shooting incident, and police’s failure to manage the situation is therefore rather unbecoming of the Delhi Police. Images of Delhi Police personnel standing casually even as Gopal Sharma goes about waving his gun, getting into position and conveniently shooting at the anti-CAA rally is bound to go down as an embarrassing moment for the police force.
